  1. We've an international break coming up. First up for Pedro Caixinha will be Motherwell on 1/4/17 at Ibrox. Followed by Kilmarnock and Aberdeen away.
  2. Can't be any worse than the last time we went there. That was an unorganised, shameful mess. We are not exactly packed with quality but the least the players can offer is a bit of organisation, fight, desire and commitment from the first to last whistle.
  3. What exactly is going on at our football club? There is no plan in place. This makes Stewart Robertsons' interview both on Rangers TV and in the St. Johnstone matchday programme, look completely ridiculous, amateurish. So the board of directors wanted a director of football in place. Now it's a long term appointment. We searched high, low and intensively - a forensic search and the best we can come up with is Pedro Caixinha, a Portuguese coach who's got a less than impressive CV. No offence to Mr. Caixinha, who I hope turns out to be a successful appointment. I am less than impressed, it's yet another shambolic episode. “Our search has been narrowed down to a few outstanding candidates, who we believe possess the necessary skills and attributes. “We have been deliberately forensic in our search, studying every detail of each manager’s character, his work and his style and we have sought many references for those who have stood out from the rest..." Aye, right you are. “There is no confusion or turmoil inside Rangers. “There has always been a clarity of purpose..." Let's be honest, we are a mess.
  4. A signing that sums up every thing that is wrong with Rangers and our manager.
  5. I want the Scottish Premiership title next season. I expect it.
  6. Kelly is highly rated but McCrorie is the keeper every one a Rangers have massive hopes for. An outstanding prospect. Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Monaco keeping tabs on him.
  7. Not sure why he's not had more than a 15 minute run out. McCoist rates him and both Black and Law have been dreadful.
  8. Charlie Telfer is leaving Rangers and joining Dundee United for less money. The stories about Rangers not knowing his contract was up are completely untrue. We wanted to keep him but he wants first team football. Not up for the fight? Sad, he's a Rangers supporter.
  9. Good to see that. He will have been praising and congratulating them on a fantastic win. Positive stuff.
  10. Telfer has played his last game for Rangers. Contract signed with Dundee United.
  11. Tonight was Charlie Telfer's last game for Rangers. He's signed a deal with Dundee United.
  12. Gasparotto, Telfer, Murdoch, Gallagher and McKay all could and should have featured/Gallacher and McKay, more often. League was won before a ball was kicked, certain players were failing to produce and in need with a rest yet we continued with them for every minute of every game. IMO it cost us in the Ramsden and had we been a bit fresher, the semi final against Dundee United as well. Sadly the unbeaten league record got in the way. Tonight the u20's defeated a Hearts side containing numerous players with Scottish Premiership experience.
  13. Could you imagine McCoist with 20m? Thankfully he won't see any thing like that, ever. I wouldn't trust him with 2m.
  14. Ryan Stevenson is bloody awful. A player who runs about a lot, rolls his sleeves up and gets stuck in. Forget the fact that he's got absolutely no quality or ability. As an attacking midfielder he offers very little, as a striker he is even worse. He has no pace, the touch of an elephant, but he is great in the air and brings versatility. His goal scoring record is embarrassing. Lucky if he's scored 20 goals in the last 5 seasons. It's signings like this along with the likes of a Shiels, Black, Foster, Daly, Smith that makes us what we are - a very poor footballing side.
  15. I am sure we could tempt Carlos Cuellar back with a wage of around £4k per week when he could probably get at least double that somewhere else. We have no money.
  16. Neither Steven Smith or Richard Foster have been good signings. Smith looked OK in the last few games of the season - in the games against Raith Rovers and Dundee United he didn't play well. If it wasn't for a couple of free kicks, no one would be talking about him. Back to Kenny Miller. Released from the Whitecaps as he wasn't seen as good enough. 13, possibly 15, goals in three seasons. He will probably do the business in the Championship but at 36 (when we reach the Premiership) he won't be. It is yet another short term signing - before any one has a go just look at who is out of contract next summer - Ally McCoist hasn't a clue how to assemble a squad. In the summer of 2015; McCulloch, Mohsni, Smith, Foster, Black, Daly... are all out of contract and not one of them are good enough for the Scottish Premiership. This means we are going to have to bring in at least six first team players (and the rest) - either that or we offer the likes of Mohsni, Foster, Smith and Black new contracts and watch us take a beating in the top division. I cannot believe that after every thing that has gone on, we are going in to the summer of 2014 talking about bringing an ageing Kenny Miller back to the club for a third spell. I hate the road we are going under Ally McCoist. He is utterly hopeless, clueless and not fit for the job. This club is one big mess - not going to get in to the board room nonsense. The football side of our club is horrific, an absolute shambles - amateurish.
  17. Defeat in the first round of the cup to Forfar. It doesn't even look good on paper.
  18. Hearts squad is similar to ours. Maybe not as many experienced professionals but they still have MacDonald, Hammil, Wilson, Stevenson, McGowan. On top of that, some good younger players who have had a season and a half experience in the top division; Paterson, King, Carrick, Nicholson, Holt, Robinson, McHattie. Possibly still a season too soon for some of them and they may blow out as the season progresses but if they can add a few experienced players then they will challenge us and I don't see us running away with the league. They have been linked with some experienced players to help them out.
  19. I'm sure if you go to games, before, during and after, you will know that it's not just an internet thing. A lot of supporters not happy with Ally McCoist and rightly so. It's time for a change before it is too late.
  20. Halkett and Telfer should have featured in the first team this season - a 10/15 minute run out for Telfer doesn't count and that is one of the reasons as to why he is considering an offer from Dundee United. Cal Gallagher should also have feature more often. Dykes, Gasparotto, Sinnamon, Murdoch... all impressed at u20 level this season. We have a much better core of younger lads than in previous years. Instead, the manager ran the senior pros into the ground. MacLeod made 21 appearances Aird - 35 Apart from that, not one other player was given a chance and in chance I mean proper game time. Not the odd appearance followed by the odd sub appearance. We played on the same night as the u20's, McCoist added their two best players in Telfer and Gallagher to the first team squad at home to Forfar. Gallagher got 15 minutes, Telfer 0 - the league was won and the u20's had an important league game. I'm sure sitting on the bench would have given them great experience...
  21. Not at all. League was won before a ball was kicked. To go unbeaten was a good record - the standard of football on show was terrible. Unbeaten and unwatchable. We failed to win a cup, which is simply not good enough. The unbeaten league record got in the road of that. The football may have improved ever so slightly on the previous season, but it still was no where near good enough. Tactics, formations, choice of personnel, attitude, performances - very poor. For the last three seasons the set pieces have been poor, we haven't worked on certain areas and the same basic mistakes/errors have occurred. We never gave any of the younger lads a chance. Only MacLeod and Aird got proper game time, even after the league was won, even after certain players were not producing and it was glaringly obvious that they needed a rest/break. McCoist achieved the bare minimum with a squad that should be producing so much more. Defeats to Forfar and Raith Rovers should have seen him removed from his position. Next season will be a much bigger test. Tougher games, better standard, atmosphere and more pressure. The manager and players will have to change their way. Some are in for a real shock!
  22. At this moment in time I won't be renewing. I will wait and see what Dave King and Richard Gough have to say today. I'm not prepared to give the people currently running our club my money. Somers, Wallace, the Easdales, Laxey, BP...
  23. We will make it a lot harder than it should be. Over the course of the season, we should be too strong although massive improvements required from manager and players. The defence and midfield are a real concern - those two areas are dreadful and Jon Daly up top is a waste of space.
