I’m no expert, but I’m with you. He seems to be lacking fitness, but has shown good touches at times. Im fairly sure he will improve. Too early to write him off.

Won 2-1, with an improved performance from the weekend - no doubt with a large improvement still required. But, opening a thread with that title is a massive overreaction.

I stopped listening to him last season after a few games. He has always struck me as yet another, who has all the buzz words in his vocabulary throughout his interviews, which are generally fairly very drab and boring. He would do well just to be more direct and say things as they were today, rather than bull shitting people with his sound bites about tough ground and high energy opposition. Where was our energy? The man is a blagger. Whether or not he can be successful - time will tell, but at this point, he, and his team are failing in far too many areas.

Exactly. If someone other than Tav can’t take a throw in, there is something wrong. A slight understatement today, as that is one minor issue among several major problems.

Some debut that was. Was at the game as a 15 year old (or something like that), and I remember that tackle as clear as day. There was a lot of excitement that day with him simply playing for us. Crap result, but they don’t make them like him anymore.

Waste of money to be honest having watched several games in the league and cup this season. It’s just a really poor product.

I hope that the club have done some serious homework on this, because if his injury does become a longer term issue than it already is, serious questions would have to be asked.

I thought that he did well. Overlapped and delivered a few crosses, I’m sure he had a couple of interceptions, and was fairly sound defensively as well (from where I was sitting anyway). Good performance in my opinion.

Agreed. Morelos has been given free passes by all those who have managed him at times. Poor management, including Beale who should have realised some time ago that he had chucked it and binned him to the bench at best if not out the squad altogether.

He was a vast on improvement on Tillman, who he replaced, and some think is worth £5m. Yes we need better, but Arfield is not the biggest issue we have. That’s my opinion. People are entitled to disagree.

Offers something going forward, and he showed that when he came on against them. I’m with you. Clearly not a long term option but he’s worth another year.
