  1. Have thought about it long and hard but I'm sorry, the time for large scale boycott is NOW. This board are once again ready to sign off on an untried and inexperienced candidate. I think we need to forget about the name and think about the probability of this going wrong, disastrously wrong ........AGAIN! Its such a massive and unnecessary gamble I'm struggling to get my head round the thinking here. Seriously, ask yourself of all the names in the hat for manager does Stephen Gerrard really represent the best chance of success for our club. I don't think so. It makes no sense and comes at a crucial time in our history and I don't just mean what the taigs are doing. As if we haven't already had enough proof this board are not fit for purpose this latest move surely seals it.
  2. How can the goalkeeper not be a priority? He let's us down repeatedly when called upon. It's absolutely THE priority, the starting point. Souness used to say a good goalkeeper is worth 12 points a season to a team. On the strength of Foderingham 's performances this season alone that looks an understatement.
  3. Foderingham is never a Rangers keeper in a million years and needs replacing urgently as a matter of priority. That is so obvious to me I'm truely surprised it's even up for debate. His shortcomings are right up there as glaring as our other defensive woes. In fact I'd go as far as to say big Wes is indicative of the kind of mediocrity we've been forced to endure. Should we replace him with Alan McGregor .............. Absolutely not!
  4. Wouldn't it be good if just for once our team actually turned up , played like men and avoided defeat. It would in a very small way be a we bit of payback for the magnificent backing they've had from us if they somehow managed to take away the need for embarrassment.
  5. I'll tell you when this one would have made perfect sense. When we were down at the very bottom end of Scottish football..... Not now. I distinctly remember saying as much to a mate at the time. Not Potter in particular, but rather anyone with proven ability working within financial constraints and good at developing youth players. That was the time for this guy or the like. A heaven sent opportunity (yes opportunity) where for once in our clubs modern day history we had time to build a side up year on year. Unfortunately we even managed to royaly fuck that up. Something that still angers me greatly to this day. What we need now is somebody who can inspire what little talent we have together with a few well chosen additions and somehow challenge the papes over the course of a season. It goes without saying that's going to take somebody a bit special. Somebody who at this particular time on our journey has a track record of proven ability to make an immediate impact on a club. Graham Potter may well go on to establish himself as a great manager, I wish him well. For where we are at this particular moment however he represents far too much of a risk for me.
  6. The guy is a success at a tiny club where there are absolutely no demands on players or the management team for Results. I don't need to point out we are the polar opposite of that. Ive already acknowledged his achievements which again are very commendable however the complete absence of pressure is almost certainly a contributory factor in that success. I watched the video on him and his methods a lot of which put me in mind of Delia and look how that worked out. Who is the real deal? Well that's for the Directors of our club to come up with the answer to that one but it ain't Graham Potter at this particular point in time.
  7. Expectations and pressure. Just two hugely important factors why Graham Potter would find Ibrox a world away from the patient and tolerant Swedish minnows. Without undermining his achievements, because of what's gone on before here we are probably THE last club in world football where this guy and his ilk belong right now. There is no time, there is no patience, and there is certainly no appetite for more experiments. We are a club exasperated with previous failures in need of the real deal right here, right now........ Move on please.
  8. Holt should be starting well ahead of Windass imo. Never mind ballance and tactics for the taig game his industry alone makes it a no brainer. The wee guy is far from ideal for this fixture but at least he makes a decent contribution unlike the invisible man that is Josh Windass.
  9. This point has been an elephant in the room since McGregor left. Absolutely MUST be the first issue addressed by an incoming manager.
  10. Sorry but can't agree with that especially if we've witnessed an era where our greatest rivals suffered years of being take advantage of. Its like knowing the script to a bad movie but refusing to change the ending. Tolerance is surely at an end within our support as it was with them in the 90's. If not and we continue to talk instead of act then we will fully deserve many more years of the same.
  11. It chokes me to make comparison to them but the similarities to their situation in the 90's just can't be ignored. Look where both clubs are now and then consider what you've said above . You get what you deserve in this life and football is no different. Like it or not their present situation was initiated by supporters pressure.
  12. Yep can't disagree with that but with the exception of the last paragraph. We only deserve better if we actually do something about it.
  13. Come on to fuck guys, we are being eaten from inside to out with this shower of parasitic bastards. You wouldn't stand by and let your loved ones die if you could in any way avoid it. Don't let it happen to Rangers, It really is time to step up.
  14. Just astounding. You cant even apply the excuse "he lives on the other side of the Atlantic" here because you would need to be from another fucking planet to think our current predicament is in any way acceptable. Surely to christ even the most gullible among us must see this for what it is.
  15. That was ANY player in Smiths team regardless of reputation or status they would be getting ripped a new arsehole by their teammates before the manger had even got to them. Thats what's missing at Ibrox and its also the reason why the fenians find it so easy to beat us.
  16. Only a fool makes the same mistakes over and over but never learns. If major investment was coming into the club it would be here by now......that's it.....end of story! This board have taken for granted their support's loyalty once too often. I firmly believe the majority have had enough now and want them out.
  17. A heartfelt and sincere effort OP, however I fear your words will almost certainly fall on deaf ears. Unless of course the message you so eloquently covey is replicated in the thousands. For what it's worth I've already sent off something similar so I can totally understand exactly how you feel. Its only one mans opinion but again for what it's worth, it seems to me our first major battle is coming to the agreement within ourselves that under this administration our club is fucked. Such has been the level of utterly shambolic governance under Kings tenure I have absolutely no confidence whatsoever he or his board can turn this around. Although I'm fully aware many more on here have been saying this far longer than me, I've been banging this drum since Sunday night because that was my rock bottom. To echo the sentiment of the OP I'd urge each and every true Rangers fan to see the truth. Don't let your love for the club blind you from doing what's right for Rangers. Despite their best efforts what we've witnessed thus far is NOT what we expect of our board so please, let these people know your feelings without any further delay.
  18. Aye but it clearly a taig who's made it up in the first instance. Not sure of your motivation for sharing tbh.
  19. Tell the fenian cunt who sent it we could compile a far longer list for their banter years including them borrowing light bulbs from hampden for their floodlights.......oh yes short memories the papish ones.
  20. Encouraging that at last the majority appear to be on the same page. Much work to be done though to ensure this has the desired effect. Keep it up bears.
  21. For so long now the more apathetic among us have needed a spark to provoke action. Let's pray to God this is the spark that finally lights the fire. Nothing is going to change if we do nothing. Really in itself that statement doesn't stack up to much by way of protest but the intent is there for all to see. Anybody critical of the message they are sending out tonight needs to think first. It's about long term what's best for Rangers now. More than ever before in our entire history Rangers needs her support to come together as one to achieve what's required, so please if you care enough get behind this with everything you have.
  22. A totally irrelevant question. A more fitting one would be will you....... A. Carry on following blindly into the abyss. B. Get organised and get active.
  23. Correct. My biggest worry is the financial disparity is now on a different scale than it was back then. That said every season that passes (as is) that gap is only going to widen. That's why for me time is critical for us. We simply cannot afford any more of this board's mistakes and head in the sand decision making. We need proper governance from a board who know what it takes to run a club of Rangers stature.
  24. It needs to come NOW mate. Nothing will change under this clown King and people need to realise that now. If we can learn anything from the fenians debacle back in the 90's it was they waited too long as well before the tolerance finally snapped.
  25. Not trying to be smart I promise but If you or anyone else on here need any motivation to get our collective arse in gear just ask yourself who it was that made the mccann takeover possible.
