Rangers inviting SNP politicians to Ibrox
StaunchLondonGer replied to GOAT's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Historically, we've been far too decent and straightforward in our dealings as a club. But in modern SNP taig-infested Scotland our enemies are plentiful and fight with duplicity and cunning. IF (and it's a big if) we were inviting this brand of scum-fuck rheptile into Ibrox with the intention of ingratiating ourselves and giving them a false sense of security (in order to quietly further our own cause) then I would say, "Fair enough - let's play politics to protect our interests". Alas, this is just Robertson being a cunt. -
Shagger best keeper in Scotland by some distance. Hopefully the silly cunt will keep the head and Fod wont be required other than cup duty.

Rangers: Everyone Anyone project
StaunchLondonGer replied to Nameless Ghoul's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
doesn't exactly roll off the fucking tongue does it -
Winning mentality is everything. We went into the last old firm game as favourites and we walked it. Especially with Lemon in charge there's every chance to feel positive imo. If we make a solid start and they slip up in a couple of games (which they did last season) then the scum brigade will get restless and that will help us more. I don't think a degree of positivity is misplaced this time tbh.

Don't disagree with you mate. The best team always wins the league, and we have to be the best. The required standard hasn't changed (and should never be allowed to change) at this great club imo
-
Ultimately, it's no half measures with Rangers. When folk look back on his tenure as manager he will be seen as: won a domestic cup = partial success won the league = legend for ever

Imagine the level of Timplosion if they'd had the internet back then...

Fantastic bit of skill. Almost Cooper-esque (only with the right peg obv) The games last season where we let ourselves down seemed to be the ones where no-one had the confidence to step up and show some bottle/flair. So hope this lad carries the 'no fear' attitude forwards and becomes a real prospect.

Tav's definitely a "modern" fullback (i.e. attack minded). When he's on his game he can be pivotal in helping us control the tempo and create chances. You always feel he's got the odd defensive clanger up his sleeve, but the pros outweigh the cons.

It's a fair point mate. 30 goals is obv the right level but his petulance has fucked us at key moments and his volatility is an on-going worry. Actually impressed with how Gerrard has handled him over all. Even towards the end of the season when it looked like Gerrard/Morelos relations were getting strained, it seemed like the boss was able to get the message across to him without him spitting out the dummy. Fingers crossed he'll have a little bit more maturity to complement his talent this season and we'll finally get 55!

Who Will Be Back Up To Allan McGregor?
StaunchLondonGer replied to SonOfLuther's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
So... perfect for a Rangers team featuring the likes of Gascoigne, Laudrup, Hateley, Gough etc....? Praise indeed. -
Having put together a few autograph displays with my son in recent years we have a handful of signed photos/cards left over. Rather than have them sitting doing nothing we’d prefer they went to someone who would appreciate them. My son was thinking a young Bear/Bearette who maybe doesn’t have much (or has had a tough time) and would like something to connect to our past. Happy to pass these items on to an established RM poster in good faith if anyone has a young person in mind. The signatures are: John Greig, Ralph Brand, Colin Stein, The Goalie, Gazza, Davy Wilson, Mark Hateley, Eric Caldow, Brian Laudrup, Ian Durrant, Ally McCoist, Colin Jackson, Mikel Arteta, Derek Parlane, Chris Woods, Gordon Durie, Terry Butcher. Also included is an interesting press photo of the King and Queen visiting Ibrox on a tour of the bombed Clyde docks during WW2 that I was going to mount but I know I won’t get around to it. Please drop me a PM if you can help and I’ll post here to say it’s sorted. Many thanks.

Obviously can't say for sure what he really feels, but that's my interpretation of him now sadly. Reckon he thinks we're lucky to have him and we are just a stepping stone to bigger things in bigger leagues. I suspect he will look very ordinary if/when he goes to EPL.

Gerrard and Davis : Post Match Reactions
StaunchLondonGer replied to Virtuoso's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Unfortunately he's beginning to sound a bit empty now. -
Nothing against him. All players will sign because the money's right and they will move because the time is right. That's the way it works. Some develop a deeper attachment/appreciation for Rangers, others just pass through. Morelos is just passing through imo. But either way, I couldn't give a fuck about seeing him have a bright future when he moves on. That would be a luxury I would afford myself if we were building a strong scum-beating squad that represented a recognisable Rangers.

McGregor got out the wrong side of bed this morning
StaunchLondonGer replied to j1mgg's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
McGregor is the only really decent quality player we have (other than Morelos). He has been the difference for us this season which is fucking depressing because, without him, we'd be fourth and we wouldn't have had a European run. If he's frustrated and throwing a wobbly because we are underperforming then I can relate tbh -
He has quality. But he cares only about his career, not us. And he will be gone. So fuck him. I have no sentiment for him. I care about Rangers and how we are going to look next season.

Don't see the point in starting a thread based on anything from that cunt's gob tbh.

Press Conference: Gerrard and Halliday

yeh queen bit was tongue in cheek tbf 😉 -
Press Conference: Gerrard and Halliday
StaunchLondonGer replied to BlueKnight87's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Actually, with respect, do you actually know that??? I think we need to separate Halliday THIS season from the old Halliday. He has hardly put a foot wrong this season: he's seldom panicked under pressure, usually finds a decent pass to take us forward, stands strong in the challenge, delivers consistently good corners (WAY better than Tav), takes no shit from wee taigy nyaffs...and he loves the Queen. -
I think that MOST of it is the frustration tbh So much patience with charlatans, share offers, managerial experiments, false dawns... We DESERVE a recognisable Rangers by now ffs

Press Conference: Gerrard and Halliday
StaunchLondonGer replied to BlueKnight87's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
It's critical that he finds a decent captain. Just cant see a successful Rangers team with Tav in the captain's role (or even on the park tbh) -
Doesn't matter a fuck who we get if Gerrard cant get the stupid fuckers to gel together as a team. We keep getting outdone by supposedly "lesser" players who play better as a team than we do.
