From the manager down to the players, unbelievable achievement getting to the group stages where nobody gave us a chance.

It’s totally irrelevant how much we spend on a player though and it’s not the board’s fault that the players we’ve went after just haven’t cost all that much. Just because player X cost £1 Million and player Y cost £2 Million it doesn’t make him better

Its hardly a bad thing the club is showing some transfer acumen and financial astuteness by picking up Croatian internationals and the like for good prices. I mean when you actually analyse what we’ve brought in beyond how much their transfer fee was, then the recruitment should actually be applauded. For instance, signing the best goalkeeper in the league in McGregor for nothing, an experienced Premiership midfielder for nothing, 1 current and 1 future internationalist for the current World Cup runners up for £3 Million combined. If you looked at those types of players and were told it cost us say £8 Million to get them all even then we probably wouldn’t complain as, thus far, they have demonstrated a big step up in quality.

Its utterly irrelevant how much Pedro spent. The players he signed cost more than the players we’ve signed, that’s it, I’m sure if the selling clubs for Katic etc demanded more we would’ve paid more. Luckily that hasn’t been the case and we’ve secured the services of these guys for a good price. Even using the “he spent more money argument”, Goldson has been the club’s most expensive transfer in this decade at over £3.5 Million.

Even off the field Gerrard has been backed. We’ve brought in a plethora of highly regarded coaches that I don’t imagine would be earning small amounts, not to mention the club have apparently  made improvements to both Ibrox and the training centre according to Gerrard (who even himself has praised the board’s backing thus far).

So yeah, net spend kinda means fuck all when considering how much Gerrard has been backed.

Yes and if we won yesterday no one would even be asking this question. Absolute meltdown from every angle when we don’t win a game.

We've got to qualify for the group stages on Thursday , both for the financial gain and the success of actually making it .
After that , I'd concentrate on the league . I think aiming for both may prove just too much for us right now , and of the two , the league is the most desirable and attainable .

There's a decent % on here EXPECTING to win next Sunday. Think I'll give this place a wide berth if we don't pick up 3 points.

Fod shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath.
The pitch was shocking and some of the passbacks were horrendous, but he still cleared his lines.
Fod is a spineless incompetent amateur by comparison.
    Fucking shocking post.

Going to be honest, I dont even like the fact we heavily rotate the squad for the league cup games either.
