I’d still start him next season but we need to sign someone to compete as he has to be managed better. Cantwell and Sterling get brought off with 25 minutes to go whilst Tav is asked to go another 100 minutes in a games that was clearly won.
When we had Patterson it should have been done more then. It was a perfect scenario where we had a young home grown talent to take over at the helm. Luckily, it worked out and we were able to capitalise on Patterson but still has never had competition. Even cup games against lower league Tav plays. Last time I remember us dropping him in that situation was when we played the polish right back.

I think the shitebag stuff has substance to it. Let's not forget even Gerrard told him to toughen up and questioned him when he had to take him off after a tackle when barisic slapped the ground about 50 times like he was dying. Then there was the OF where he was ridiculed and called a shite bag then sank deeper. His continuous backwards passing hampered him too. For me he had a couple purple patches in a couple seasons but not much more.
If I met him in a dark alley I'd cover my mouth and shout shitebag then run away.

I think replacing our right back who contributes the most to our attacking numbers still shouldn't be a priority. I think there are far more important areas we need addressed first. I do think we should have someone to compete with him if possible.

I think you do get it tbf. Most people have pointed it out to you but Dessers missing sitters isn't the sole reason our goal difference is negative. It's probably slightly harsh to criticise the guy who has actually contributed a half decent amount of goals and not put anything on the ones who have contributed fuck all.

The difference is he plays for a team now with little pressure. He plays in a team where he gets time on the ball with space to move into instead of against a block of ten.
