I just don't see it or get the hype surrounding him he has potential but will struggle if selected to lead the line as he's not a good enough or clinical enough striker.
    We need better.

I agree he's not to everyones' satisfaction mate .... but a wee voice at the back of my mind recalls the debacle that was McCoist when he first started playing for us and how woeful a prospect he seemed to be ... so I personally still have hope that the player with the same initials (AM) comes right ..... as frustrating a prospect he seems at this time in his career.

All this learning nonsense is just that, as a 20 year old Jim Forrest in a far more physical league scored 57 goals a club record in 1964/65 season, morelos may be a lot of things a striker isn't one of them.

Anyone who thinks the republican snp would tolerate us in an independent Scotland is deluded in the extreme, they openly mock us at will, what makes the naive think that things would be better without the protection of the Union.
The words of   Friedrich Gustav Emil Martin Niemöller reach far and wide, ignore them at your peril.

March 3rd 1965 against Inter, we won 1-0 went out 3-2 on aggregate European cup... Jim Forrest scored in 6 minutes, we absolutely battered them for the rest of the game. Big Roger knocked Sarti clean out with a volley from the half-way line, the Tallies held on though,  catenaccio was their game and they were masters at it. 80,000 on a brittle night the place never stopped rocking, the atmosphere was something else, never experienced anything to match it anywhere auld firm or even the good old days of Wembley.

On reflection, Kai Johansen's '66 Scottish Cup final replay was something special too, nearly but not quite as electric as Inter was, imho.

Rangers have an extensive youth scout network in central Scotland ( we don't have a scout in  Aberdeen, and very limited south of the border). The standard of scout varies with the majority of players being recruited via a small pool of scouts, with some despite being at the club a long time bringing in virtually nothing. There doesn't seem to be a method to measure a scouts performance.
This is not restricted to Rangers with most Scottish clubs relying on a few volunteer scouts at varying standards for their youth recruitment.. A system that works quite well for some of the smaller clubs, who are fortunate to have one or two volunteers who are very good.

Not so sure we really have scouts in Africa. Highlighted South Africa U17 international James McFarlane who is being tracked by Ajax, I believe would jump at a chance of a trial at Rangers as his dad was a Rangers fan. Was told by a scout at the club I was wasting my time as it wouldn't be followed up.
On a different note I watched Colaraine a couple of times in 2016 and two teenagers stood out and passed on my thoughts. Brad Lyons who just moved to Blackburn Rovers last week and Lyndon Kane who seems to have had his injury problems recently, don't even think the club bothered having a look.
