Like Pena, a lazy, airy fairy bastard. Gerrard looked ready to kill him when he got stupidly caught offside for the sixth time.

You'd think he'd learn after the third offside but nope, he's got no idea what he's doing.

First thing come January should be terminating his loan, bringing in Shankland, and a right winger able to cover upfront when needed (loanee or not).

  2. Just spotted this over on r/rangersfc, pretty impressed by Tav so far this season. Hopefully this really drives up his price-tag when down south comes sniffing.

James Tavernier impresses UEFA as Rangers defender ranks high in Europa League list

He has his detractors but James Tavernier is enjoying a wonderful start to the season under Steven Gerrard.

The Rangers star does have a flaw in his play. His defending can let him down. But going forward he is sometimes an unstoppable, rampaging right-back with serious stats to back up his positives.

In 158 appearances, Tavernier has scored 32 goals and provided 47 assists. That is being involved in a goal every other game.

Impressive numbers for a full-back. Looks like his form hasn’t gone unnoticed with the lads at UEFA either.

In fact, they have made the Englishman their top-ranked defender with 4115 points – a full 327 points ahead of second-placed Danny da Costa of Frankfurt.

The 26-year-old has scored three times in the Europa League already this season, with his latest coming in the 3-1 win over Rapid Vienna at Ibrox from the penalty spot.

And it’s in UEFA’s second-tier competition where his qualities are really shining through.

European football’s governing body has ranked Tavernier higher than stars such as Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal, Pepe of Besiktas and Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso.

As for other Rangers players, they get a mention pretty high up, too.

Alfredo Morelos is the eighth-highest ranked striker according to UEFA.com. The Colombian – on 2850 points – trails the likes of Milan superstar Gonzalo Higuain and first-placed Munas Dabbur, who scored twice against celtic on Thursday night.

Daniel Candeias is the club’s highest-ranked midfielder – in 43rd place – and behind leader Kai Havertz who plays for Bayer Leverkusen.

Talk of Rocksteady producing a Harry Potter based RPG, timed around a 100 years before Potter was born.

Not really into Harry Potter but just the sound of it excites me. Could be a brilliant game.

Nah, more likely to be Avalanche Software (owned by Warner Bros.) Does have a touch of Rocksteady about it though, thought that at first too.

Been crying out for an RPG set in the Harry Potter world for years now, kinda dig it being in the past but seems they're gonna try to capitalise on the Fantastic Beasts shite.

Looks like I'll be deleting every other game to make room for this then.

Seriously though, this game is gonna be massive. Their attention to detail is ridiculous, although I imagine the dialogue (audio tracks) will take up a large portion of that space.

I have no idea how many times I've completed San Andreas over the last 14 years. Vice City similar. And I could start them up just now and play them and not get bored, whereas with 5 (and 4 to a lesser extent..) it just doesn't last. I've been waiting for them to better San Andreas and in my opinion they haven't came close.

For me, Red Dead Redemption blows 4 and 5 away. That's what I want from a game though i.e story and atmosphere

Completely agree with this. With the budget they have and the tools on hand these days there's no way you should be questioning whether a new GTA title is better than that released 14 years ago. Vice City will always be my favourite but San Andreas is arguably the best game in the series they've ever put out, it's sad they still haven't managed to top it. I'd say even Saints Row 2 was pretty close, definitely topped GTA IV at least.

I hold Red Dead Redemption as the greatest game I've ever played, a true 10/10 (as is The Witcher III). I'm really looking forward to the sequel but it's gonna take something very special to top it for me.

You're right, he does it after every game.    He stood on the touchline for a good few minutes to shake every Ufa players hand after they went to the corner to applaud their fans.   Everyone had left but him.

That's what I thought. Doesn't leave the pitch until everyone's had a go. That's exactly the kind of guy you want in charge.

2nd last player. Giving him one of those cuddles where you don't actually get too close in case you get covered in their sweat

Probably Carzola. Letting him know he'll be running our midfield come next window.

Good option off the bench...that is all atm

Totally agree with this. Atm he's best used when the opposition are tiring and he can hop on to rip them apart charge after charge. He's a definite game changer. Would be interested in comparing a few starts to what he's capable of doing from the bench though.

Either way, I'm glad he's under contract and not Kent, definitely seems the better prospect, imo.

  8. I like these sort of things for the nostalgia trip but they're so not worth the price when you think about it. Limited selection of games, short-cabled controllers, and no AC adapter. PS could've easily set this apart from Nintendo by offering "memory cards" loaded with a selection of various games, several different versions of 'em (sport/rpg/etc). Sorta like physical DLC with the ability to choose your own, pre-selected, library of PSOne classics. Plus you've got that added nostalgia of the scattered mem cards around the place, makes more sense to me.

Although they're pretty obsolete if you're clever enough to build your own emulator with a Raspberry Pi or something. just get your hands on a similar looking case, if that's your thing, and you're sorted.

Not comparing it i was meaning i was more looking forward to this. Alot more work goes into it than a yearly fifa update was what i was getting at ?

Can you form online clans/gangs anyone know?

Most likely but I wouldn't expect much of online from the get go. Won't be launching until the month after release, and with an open beta, could be a while before they nail down the mode as well as GTA Online is atm.

I imagine online heists are gonna be quite fun, hopefully with the added danger of another gang popping in and trying to fuck you over and take your score. Followed by you tracking said gang and gunning down every single one of those vermin. Should be fun.

  10. It's still pretty early to throwing judgement at him but shit, if he's already being compared to Papac that's nothing but high praise. For the years I've been watching Papac has always been my favourite for LB, never a guy you had any worry in, defensively or attacking. If Barisic is anything like Papac he'll come good, just needs time to bed and get used to things. Looking forward to seeing how he works with Grezda up the left.

Won’t be most peoples cup of tea unless you like superheroes or openworld games but Spider-Man is class the graphics are unreal

Birthday on Sunday so hoping to pick this up in a few days if I've got the extra cash. Always loved the older games, and a big Spider-Man fan. Huge fan of the Ratchet & Clank series too, same developers (Insomniac Games).

  12. Tbf to Barisic, Forrest is admittedly a quality winger, but I have my worries that we just have another Tav at LB now. He definitely should have been doing more against the little fud though.

If we could make 3 at the back work for us (5-3-1-1) Katic/Goldson/Worrall then Tav and Barisic would have the freedom to exploit the wings.

I know it's still really fucking early but if we were to judge a manager on attitude, professionalism and sheer drive, I'd Stevie is by far the best we've had since Smith. That's 7 fucking years to bring someone in with some balls, it's so damn refreshing!

  14. I honestly have no idea what our scouting team saw in him. Regardless of his fitness or when he comes on you can just tell from the way he plays he hasn't a clue. Same goes for the video packages you'll find, looks like he's tryna run in skates the whole time. I could probably see him scoring a couple goals here and there but I'm kinda doubting any will be an intentional strike.

I'll go one further, here's his goal today.

It's a good goal and shows just how vulnerable the taigs are at the back.

We can exploit those weaknesses u less Brenda addresses them before our game.

Tbf that was an incredible strike, keeper didn't even move.

Is it too soon to say that I'm not worried about the next time we play them? Nerves for years now but somehow it's feeling completely different so far this season.
