Well researched and found, more than a third of the goals is some stat!

It's an unbelievable stat. I would have never imagined that, especially since Smith has only started to trust him in the bigger games.

He's playing hi best ever football just now and musst be given a new contract. I'd include a large performance bonus to help him keep his current level up.

For the beancounters - surely spending £1-1.5m a season on Boyd is worth the £17m from next year's CL. The bheasts will also be right in the shit if they fail to win the league thus year. What price a complete tunraround in finances?

Can't wait for the Boyd haters  to enter the thread.

Hates a strong word which should never be used against a member of our playing or management team, it would not be true in any case.

Anyway the facts are there and mighty impressive they are, the only argument that might be presented is the amount of time it took for the penny to drop with Boyd re- his all round game, which is shaping up pretty well.

SPL v TOP SIX teams (up to and including season 08/09) = 56 games (incl 13 as sub), 31 goals (6 pens). Of those 56 games, 27 were away from home where his record is 27 games (incl 8 sub apps) and 12 goals (3 pens)

That's certainly contrary to what a lot of folk say....

Does anybody know how many penalties he has failed to score?

Walter doesn't play him because he doesn't trust him

and when he does play he doesn't even look like scoring.....or misses golden chances.....like Stuttgart and Villareal

who the fuck are the big teams in Scotland anyway? he has scored once against Celtic in fuck knows how many attempts
