spanther22 474 Posted September 9, 2010 Share Posted September 9, 2010 was this the game from sept 2005? i had opened a betfair account in august with a couple of hundred quid i got as a tax rebate. i wasnt right sure what i was doing but somehow had quickly bumped it up to a few grand and had put it all on england. i think my biggest bet prior to that couple of mad months had been about 100 quid so i was absolutely gutted when i lost. i kept telling myself that i was only really down the couple of hundred quid tax rebate so it wasnt too bad, but it was a sickener.one good thing about it though - i told the bird i was seeing at the time that we could use the money to move in together, but when i lost it all she got super-pissed and that was the end of that. ive seen her recently and she looks like the side of a house. plus i think ive only had a few bets since and nothing much more than 10-20 quid. on balance its probably worked out better than had england won, as nick berry once sang...."every loser wins" Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
