Newsnow Favouring the Green Half of Glasgow?

I won't go in to all the details on here for obvious reasons but suffice to say there is a strong suspicion that Newsnow are not as impartial as many think they are.

Certain articles were removed from their site after complaints from Randalstown and Mon the Hoops because the FACTS were getting to them about Celtic's bigotry,covering up paedophilia and their obsession with all things Rangers etc.

I have posted this on VB and would hope some of the more learned RM members can read between the lines here

It would appear Newsnow have no problem advertising articles with Sectarian content provided they are from the filth and not a Rangers site.

Let's just say Newsnow have their own wee secrets and are perfectly happy to listen to rabid bigots and stifle free speech.

This article is on the Newsnow site and for me the headline is simply not on.

For some reason the links have been shortened when you post them on here.

Just type in PSNI H** in to Google and the first result takes you to the link.

Second search put in Michael Devlin and H** and you will access the online article.

Probably need admin to look at the links and fix them if possible please

I think something has been lost in translation between Adoniram and others here, so perhaps this is worth clarifying...

There were 3 links posted explaining why the H Word is sectarian, in relation to an article on Randalstown using the H Word, which was picked up by Newsnow, despite an email being circulated to various Old Firm sites a few months back stating that word, amongst others, was banned, and would be filtered out.

It would seem that the filter had been switched off when yesterday's article was published, despite Randalstown being warned in the past about their behaviour.

I'd like to think, had the links worked he might have had a more positive response, but I'm not convinced.

In any case, complaints were made, and newsnow have acted, so perhaps we could say "all's well that ends well".

It should be said though that Newsnow will only act on offensive or sectarian language if they are inundated with complaints, so a little help from posters on various Rangers sites could have an impact.

The title of the thread/article is the reason for the complaint.

And i get sick fed up explaining it to the brain dead(Not you) on here who think this is simply about being "offended" by the H word....IT IS NOT.

They claim that H** is their pet name for Rangers supporters but it is not...it is a derogatory and Sectarian word for Protestants.As evidenced by them using it to describe Hearts fans as well as Rangers fans.

The gratuitous use of this word has been deemed Sectarian in a court of law,Nil by Mouth andthe PSNI (that was what the links were for but for some reason didn't work) but Newsnow deemed fit to allow it to be aired on their site.

The BBC for example (A PUBLICLY FUNDED ORGANISATION) have no problem allowing their staff to use it in a comedy context even though they gave a promise to the RST years ago that its use would be curtailed.I don't see them using Tim or Taig to describe a Celtic fan do you?

What some people don't realise or perhaps don't want to realise is that for every one of us countering the complaints and F*nian propoganda there are 10 of them complaining and cutting off our right to reply or even our basic right to protection in the media.

The thread was removed by Newsnow thanks primarily to the actions of the members of VB and not RM unless individualstell me otherwise.

I would love to talk football and nothing else on these boards but the fact remains that if you turn the other cheek or ignore them then they act on this weakness.

That is how they got TBB banned and the word F*nian to be forever linked as a Sectarian slur for Catholic.

If you don't want to complain then fine but spare me your yawns and bullshit if others do complain on your behalf.
