Hi folks

Basically my PPP link light on my netgear router doesn't come on anymore, so the wireless internet doesn't let me connect to the internet.

Does this mean my router is fkd?

WTF is a PPP Link anyway?

Ive phoned my provider and everythings fine their end, also there is broadband through a wired modem so maybe its the router?

Thanks for your help in advance.

PPP is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point-to-Point_Protocol

I'm quite sure about it use in routers but we will see if anyone can clarify this.

Do this: Click Start, Run, type "cmd /k ipconfig /all"(without quotes), hit enter, then right click the black box and choose select all. Then copy and paste in your next reply (CTRL+C(copy) then CTRL+P(paste)).

What is the model of your router?

When you say you cannot connect, do you mean it is not visible on your laptop or it is visible but it fails to establish a connection?

The internet usually connects when all three lights are on the router, ie PPP Link, Internet and Wireless. Recently PPP Link light has been going off for some reason and with it my wireless connection.

The router is a Netgear DG834PN and a USB WPN111 adapter.

The internet connection is visible but cant connect to the internet, usually says 'limited or no connectivity' even though the signal strength is quoted as excellent
