andyspeake 0
PPP is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point-to-Point_ProtocolI'm quite sure about it use in routers but we will see if anyone can clarify this.Do this: Click Start, Run, type "cmd /k ipconfig /all"(without quotes), hit enter, then right click the black box and choose select all. Then copy and paste in your next reply (CTRL+C(copy) then CTRL+P(paste)).What is the model of your router? When you say you cannot connect, do you mean it is not visible on your laptop or it is visible but it fails to establish a connection? Recently PPP Link light has been going off for some reason and with it my wireless connection. The router is a Netgear DG834PN and a USB WPN111 adapter. The internet connection is visible but cant connect to the internet, usually says 'limited or no connectivity' even though the signal strength is quoted as excellent
andyspeake 0
Firstly have you tried right clicking the Wireless connection task on the bottom right hand side of the screen on the task bar and choosing repair?Secondly have you tried doing a physical restart of the router...turn of wait 1min turn on then try online? When ive tried the 'repair' it say something like ' unable to renew ip address'
andyspeake 0
Ok at the bottom right again right click the wireless connection and choose status. Then click properties. Then click Internet protocol...and then properties again. Tell me if the setting is to obtain an IP address automatically or it is manually configured.
