Tav's time is up.

Same sort of comment Liverpool fans make about Alexander Arnold - much of it is just nature of attacking full backs

But he's not that player anymore where he's always attacking.

He doesn't have the legs to get uo and down the park the way he used to.

The first goal was nothing to do with him being too far forward and out of position.

Next season should we move Tav into the right of a midfield 3? This limits his defensive woes but allows for the positives still, assists and goals.

Nah think people suggesting this don’t get the set up with RBs and LBs that are attacking.

That wee guy terrorised him today. Thought him and Goldson were horrendous today. Genuinely think it’s mentality issue at this point.

It’s absolutely mentality, can’t remember what European match it was and goldson was a colossus, Tav has had some outstanding games this year.

Something about playing those cunts that just seems to spook them

His goal and assist record disagrees.  He looked slow today but so did half the team out there - fair enough not a great performance but the guy delivers and has done all season.

Sterling is ready to take over, we're holding his progress back.

Sterling has done well when played further forward. Tav could move further forward if its a problem. My point is that Tav is one of our better players if looked at over a season. Crazy to say he needs moved on.

It’s what your unintelligent thread deserves.

Thick as mince if you are ignoring his contribution this season and hinging all your thoughts on his poor display today

10 goals and 10 assists excluding his pens. And folk on here to moan that he doesn’t get forward and needs dropped after a bad game and a freak goal.

Roughly half are penalties. What about the other half that are just as important? Would we have won last week if Tav hadn't scored that volley? Would you have wanted any other player to hit that volley?

Much like the boyd arguments of old you seem to assume that we would not replace him with anyone. If the defence  of which tav is a major part, could be trusted, we would also be a different proposition up from. Tavs prime role is defending and he is poor at this level.

but your missing the fact that he is usually poor in OF games, mate, and those are the ones that decide who wins the league. He's not a leader, at least not in the old-fashioned way of some captains before him.

Yilmaz and Sterling. Two young athletic full back who also look like they have a bit of fight about them.

A left back in Yilmaz is ready to take Tav’s place???

Sterling is not an attacking RB he’s a better midfielder.

You might be missing the fact he’s the reason we even have a chance at this league. Plus imagine him in a team with better than Wright, Dessers, Silva in front of him.

he’s really not the problem

Can't wait till he's gone. Absolute chancing liability. Captain?! Nah, if we're relying on a right back's goals then there's a bigger issue and bigger discussion to be had.

Harsh but we need to be less reliant on him as an attacking option when he’s not great at the back.

Tav v Sterling isn’t the argument for me. We’re wasting Sterling if we use him primarily as a full back IMO

Tav was shocking at that first goal but you’ll see that happen 10000 times over the games this weekend and go out for a throw. Even if it hits the man a normal person goes to block that with their left leg and probably goes straight out for a goal kick. Totally freak incident where that cunt leads with his right leg and hits him at exactly the right angle and pace to go just past the keeper

That moment lead to him having a bit of a mare until we got the goal and I think his performance improved after
