Agreed but it needs to change with less reliance on his attacking attributes as defensively he is a weak link. Get the recruitment correct in forward positions has to be a priority moving forward.

He was extremely poor today and i criticised him heavily in the match thread but everybody has an off day.

Defo one who will only be truly appreciated when he's gone.

To be fair, he really does have a weakness in his game when defending, especially since his pace has dwindled in the last 2-3 years.

Agreed again. He’s been exceptional for us but if we get the forward positions correct we are less reliant on his attacking attributes. We still have a soft centre defensively and Tav for all his attacking qualities is culpable for that along with Goldson.

Today yes but the last half dozen games he's scored important goals and winning ones too. He was poor today bit still got us out a hole with a huge pressure penalty. We sadly don't have other players who look like they can take them like he does.

I get he's bad in defence and it does costs us but the pros outweigh the cons and we need him.

I slate him but he been one of the best players in my time following Rangers.

Roughly half are penalties. What about the other half that are just as important? Would we have won last week if Tav hadn't scored that volley? Would you have wanted any other player to hit that volley?

The fact he has one or two frailties is the exact reason we’ve been lucky enough to have him for so long because he’d be playing for a far superior team given his numbers and constant availability if he was as good defensively as he is going forward

Arguably had he not fluffed the penalty then his volley isn't needed

Ask yourself this, when was last time tav played well over 90mins against the tarriers, not just a free kick or 2 in singular incidents, but over the 90mins you think "he's absolutely bossed that right hand side"

Most of the time it's fly by the seat of his pants against the scum, no doubt he's been a good servant but he's consistently fighting his own mentality defensively in these games.
