You guys see that Paulie quit as McGregor's training partner?Ā

McGregor shared a picture that looked as though McGregor had knocked him down, Paulie pretty much demanded that footage be released to show that he didn't knock him down, and now he's left :lol:Ā

Today he's said that McGregor "whimpers like a girl" when he takes a body shot :lol:Ā

Another routine win for Lomachenko where he is never in any trouble. First time I seen him was after hearing he beat Russell in his 3rd fight. Had a look for it because Russell always looks excellent to me and it was one of those were you feel a bit sorry for the fighter because he's being completely outclassed. After only a few professional fights Lomachenko already looked like a hall of famer he's that good. He looks like he lacks the power of a Pacquaio so I don't expect him to climb as many weight classes but can't think of anyone who would beat him as a boxer. He will probably only lose if he gets KO'd which is very unlikely unless he moves up to something like welter weight and even then I'd expect him to win as his skills look superb. I don't think this one is hype as he's been fighting and beating good guys like Russell who have much more fights and experience than him. That could be his only problem in terms of defeats as it seems he will fight anyone already.Ā

Wish I could afford to take the risk and put thousands on Mayweather. Its a cunt of a fight because its official and so he gets to pass Marciano's record by fighting a non boxer. That's just disrespectful to the guy and the sport because its almost impossible for him to lose. Would be funny if he did but it should only be an exhibition match at most.

I seen footage of this Conor lad saying he'd KO CaneloĀ

You'd have to worry about his health if he was to go in against someone like that as its obvious that someone like Mayweather is his only hope of lasting a few rounds. Same with getting in the likes of Paulie to spar with. I'm surprised they can sell it on a PPV basis but going by social media McGregor seems to have supporters who are not really pure MMA fans but just believe he's some kind of superman.Ā

Its strange but I think its the whole circus with some of these guys as they analysis all that trash talking nonsense and say things like "McGregor has Mayweather mentally all over the place and defeated already" just because he called him a bitch on TV. Hope to fuck boxing doesn't go any further down that road as its like WWE. Would be hard to take seriously. The presser conference highlights I seen for this were just him and Mayweather walking about shouting yeah and calling each other names. Fuck knows what it's all about because it made the fight seem more like a complete farce than if it was kept normal. Ā Ā

God i fucking love Loma. By far and away the most talented boxer on the planet imo. Hope he builds the resume and wins the big fights to back that up.Ā

Loma vs Rigo would just be boxing porn.

Seen he's been calling Lomachenko out on social media. Would be a good one but think Lomachenko wins because of the combination of his skill and bigger size.

Another cracker would be Garcia if he moves back down to 135.Ā

Crolla v Burns just announced for the 7th October. Retirement fight for the loser. Crolla should be too good for Burns, feel like he has never been the same since he had his jaw broke.Ā

Yeah I think his time is up too.

That big long limbed freak Indongo who beat him is up against Crawford soon. Will be good to see how someone goes about beating that strange fucker. Felt a bit sorry watching Burns against him as I couldn't work out what I'd have doneĀ even with my lifetime of sofa expertiseĀ

A long limbed southpaw with decent skill set gives most boxers a hellish night.

I don't expect Crawford to shine against him either, indeed.... I could even see an upset win. Not that Indongo is particularly great.

I don't even know how you spar for Indongo. He is a hard fighter to replicate and there can't be many guys down at that weight that are gangly and southpaw you can bring in.

I've only seen him the once but couldn't work out what I'd try and do with him. I'd just duck him and hope someone else gets rid of him I thinkĀ :lol:Ā

Not an easy fight for anyone as you say. A right ackward customer. I don't think there is many out there who could handle him. Will be an interesting fight just to see what sort of game plan Crawford uses. He's supposed to be the favourite but I also wouldn't be surprised at all if he can't suss out a way to beat Indongo. Think I'llĀ slap a tenner on the big fuckaĀ

My only concern about Lomachenko is how easily he seemed to bruise against Marriega. Obviously the cut came from a intentional headbutt but the swelling under his other eye seemed to come from a nothing punch. Maybe he'll think twice about clowning so much against better oppositionĀ so it won't be an issue though.

It's a shame he doesn't have serious power, watching him when he turns the pace up reminds me of Sugar Ray Robinson, except without the cringing at how hard every shot looks.

I was saying to a friend the Lomachenko was quite sloppy, but I think he knew that Marriega wasn't in his league and just fucked about too much. Against someone better IĀ don't think he would give them those openings.Ā

Aye, the guy had really good movement as well and made him miss a lot as well. Add that too his clowning around against a big puncher and he could be in trouble. I seen the fight again last night on Box Nation and it's strange the difference when you've not had a drink.

Seen Crawford against Diaz as well and he looks the sort who will be difficult to beat. Big powerful counter puncher with good defensive skills who goes backwards until you tire then lays it on you. It's not my favourite style and he actually refused to go forward at times which is worse than even Mayweather but it is what it is and makes them difficult as fuck to win against. It's made me think he will beat Indongo easier than I thought now because I've only seen him beat Ricky Burns and I think Ricky is a bit beneath the level of guys like Crawford.Ā

I like Crawford a lot, he seems to be a bit of a freak. How often do you get a counter-puncher with power in both hands and a malicious streak? It means his fights are usually shite for the first five rounds or so while he tries to figure things out, but when he clicks into gear he's awesome to watch.

Yeah that's exactly what I mean. He was just controlling the fight from outside taking no risks. I get fed up with that sort of style if they do it the whole fight but it's their career on the line and it's using their boxing skills so can't really complain when he also gives you the strong finish. Just hate it when it's done for a full fight like Mayweather done with Pacquaio because it can end up a guy wins a fight whilst going backwards for the full fight. Just seems like using the rules too much to your advantage as it's winning a fight by not really engaging in a fight at all. The advantage actually lies with the guy who is going backwards and counter punching because he has to do less and take less risks than the one coming forward. It seems unfair to me when it goes on for most of the fight.Ā Difficult to see Crawford being beat though as he has it down to a fine art and puts them away in the later rounds. Seen somebody mentioning him fighting Lomachenko. Think he's too big though and doubt Lomachenko would be ready for a guy like him yet anyway.Ā

Winning the battle of the distance and getting inside him. He doesn't have great power, so I think Indongo will be susceptible to a swarmer.Ā

Yeah having watched Crawford again sober I can'tĀ see him losing to Indongo now. Will be interesting to see as he looks so ackward. I've only seen him beat Burns so that's what making me wonder how good he really is because Burns is aĀ level below the likes of Crawford.

Forgot Cotto is fighting Kamegui on the same night as the Mayweather McGregor show. Usually wait until the next day for fights that are not really big ones but if I'm up I hope this doesn't clash completely as always enjoyed watching Cotto. He deserves better than to have his pay fucked by the exhibition fight. Same with Canelo and GGG right enough. Mayweather also seems to have put on a decent undercard to be fair with Gervonta Davis v Francisco Fonseca for junior lightweight belt and Badou Jack v Nathan Cleverly for light heavy weight title. All four of these have good records. There is also another fight but I forget who's involved. I think its a prospect versus somebody with about 8 defeats out of 20.

Speaking of Cotto, he must be another who's due to retire soon. Seems boxing is losing too many good fighters right now with the likes of Klitschko, Mosley, Bradley, Marquez, Pacman, and Mayweather all likely bowing out this year. We have the likes of Spence jnr, Crawford, Canelo, Lomachenko, Joshua, and Garcia coming through but it will be hard for them to replicate the fights some of these guys gave us. Add the likes of De La Hoya and Morales to that over recent years and it will be even more difficult. Anyone else more or less established that are exciting people?

Anyone remember this one. Well worth a watch if you missed it at the time.Ā
