I don't see a lot of the Championship but anytime I see this guy he shows a bit of skill and creativity.

A potential signing maybe ?

As I say I don't know a lot about him so excuse the nievity if he's pish

Koumas operates as a midfield playmaker, creating goals for others as well as scoring many himself. His style of play, gliding seemingly effortlessly through opposition defences, is said to be reminiscent of Gazza in all his pomp. He is considered one of the finest talents outside the F.A. Premier League and was selected in the 2005-06 Football League Championship team of the season.

He has earned a reputation as a dead-ball specialist and a scorer of spectacular goals.

Koumas was named the Championship player of the year at the Football League Awards in March 2007.[

He's a great talent.

I mentioned him as a potential target on the old BBC board when he was out in the wilderness at WBA and would have cost about half of what he would now and was shot down. <_< Its made me reach two conclusions

1) the BBC was crap

2) I want to follow a career as a scout

Theres a few who I seen in tonights game who could do a decent job for us.

In the WBA squad there are guys like Greening, Gera, Koumas, Albrechtsen, Ellington & Carter who could all do a decent job for us, IMO.

Well he was voted the best player in the football league and knowing how football works down South I would suspect him to be valued at about 4 or 5 million easily.

When Cardiff wanted him WBA only valued him at 2 million. What a steal that would have been

Well if WBA dont make the EPL this season then he might want a move away from the Hawthornes. I see they got beat 1-0 by Sheff. Wed tonight.

I watched the game.

They seem to play the way Mowbery had Hibs, all football but no end product.

They may struggle to go up, IMO, which could result in them loosing a lot of their good players, such as Gera, who is the type of player we should be looking at.

Gera is exactly the type of player we should be looking at. Just away to turn 28 and on a free. Wouldnt command high wages either.

As Mark Lawrenson said

I especially like Zoltán Gera on the right, who is a skilful and productive player. If the Baggies do go down, he's the type of player you'd look to pinch."

What did u think of the lad Chris Brunt who played for Wednesday 2nite? a thought he had a cracking game and would be a great replacement for Charlie Adam

I'd be a great replacement for Adam.

Not really seen that Brunt except from a few times. Is he the N. Irish left winger? Heard good things about him tho. Only 21 or 22 aswell.

thats the 1 (tu)

he had a really good game 2nite and terrorised Albrechtsen at Right Back and he has great left foot on him also. Koumas, Kamara, Ellington and Carter are 4 good players and a dont think would cost that much to buy and players who Walter should be looking at

koumas is a cracking player and would definetly improve us. As for chris brunt, hes got loads of potential and seems to be improving every time i see him play. Can cross the ball well and hits a good free kick. Would love to see him at ibrox but i think wednesday rate him at £2m+ and i cant see us paying that for him.
