50ShadesofBlue 667
Would Dundee United not need to make the Europa group stages for Goodwillie to be unavailable for us in the CL?I'm sure he would need to play in the 3rd qualifying round or play offs before he was cup tied? TheMotor 2,208
Would Dundee United not need to make the Europa group stages for Goodwillie to be unavailable for us in the CL?Correct. He can play up to the third qualifying round and still be eligible for the Champion's league so long as Utd don't get into the groups. I would prefer they got to the groups though and got the co-efficient up, cos we won't be playing 2 up in the CL.
SansPeur 7
Going back to Tannadice 1-0 down aint bad. They can over turn that with a few more pre-season friendlies.
simplythebest 11,453
Not looking good for a Scottish team yet again! An away goal for the Poles at Tannadice and it'll be very difficult for Utd.

Muff 245
I think Dundee United will struggle this season.Lost Conway, Bauben, Robertson, Gomis, possibly Goodwillie, and brought in Rankin and Flood so far.Slask will score at Tannadice, their defence is garbage. don2332 35
Fuck Dundee Hibs will never support any other scottish club in europe again have done in the past apart from the paedos but since the souness era and we started to spend money every club loves it when we get knocked out
Ben10 2,309
Don't see the enthusiasm for supporting this cretinous team and I do hope they collapse in the future. I despise their players and their staff, most of all that cunt Thompson. Rangers have carried the co-efficient for 3 years, and should continue to do so. Ben10 2,309
We've had one decent European season in the last three years...For a Scottish team making the Europa Ligue from the Champions league is something to be admired.

I despise their players and their staff, most of all that cunt Thompson. Rangers have carried the co-efficient for 3 years, and should continue to do so.The problem is that Rangers haven't carried the co-efficient: it keeps falling. It will be harder and harder for Rangers to get into the CL, if all the other Scottish teams get pumped. For the good of Rangers, we need the tims to keep failing in Europe and therefore need some other Scottish clubs to step up with at least a few wins a season. Realistically, that means Dundee Utd, Hearts, Aberdeen or Hibs, and I'll be damned if I want to see Aberdeen winning anything.

Might be wrong though but I heard that Scotland's descendancy in the Fifa rankings had a bearing on the champions league places.
