Raligt 2,541
Leicester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has called off his pursuit of former England midfielder Owen Hargeaves. The injury-plagued 30-year-old was released by Manchester United in May and Eriksson was keen to sign him.But Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "It will not happen now. If it was going to happen it would have already been done but now it is too late."I can't reach him. I have only spoken to his agent and he has not come back to me, which is a little bit strange."Hargreaves has made 42 appearances for England but played just 39 games for Manchester United in almost four years at Old Trafford. The Canada-born midfielder recently used YouTube to post daily fitness videos and has been linked with a possible move to Scottish champions Rangers, newly-promoted QPR, West Brom and various MLS sides.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14387619.stm :drugang:

KERRZO 5
Sometimes uv got to take a gamble. If he was able to prove some sort of game fitness he could be the signing of the season
Raligt 2,541
IMO he could be another Beattie but you never know. If he was to stay fit he would be an excellent signing.

WilliamMunny 3,279
A fully fit Hargreaves & Davis would be phenomenal.Someone like him anyway to end an Edu & Jig midfield.

WeeBlue 39
A fit Hargreaves would be an exceptional signing for Rangers... big risk though.
thebooler 4,509
I would take him if the wages wern't crazy. Anyone bt Edu and McCulloch by christ Correct. Anything would be an improvement on they two.As much as it pains me tae decry a Ranger, these two could be the undoing of us this season. TerryTibbs 224
Marquee Signing?
Amac9 2,060
No thanks. He is pretty much finished as a professional footballer and running about pitches like Fir Park, McDiarmid Park and Pittodrie in winter time would just about finish him off once and for all. WeeBlue 39
Worrying though.. he only lasted about 5 minutes on his comeback last season for Utd... Absolute workhorse of a player!
Chef 436
no way should we even consider him, he will undoubtably be injured for his tenure with us, pay as you play or not i wouldnt touch him
TheMotor 2,208
A midfield of McCulloch, Hargreaves, Ness and Odonkor would make Rangers unbeatable. There'd be no way past all the stookies and wheelchairs.
footygeek301 20
Would be good signing if he was fit, but his wages would be well out of the reach of our current structure, unless perhaps it was just for a year. If he doesn't fancy the championship though, would he come here? I'd expect some premiership or german side would snap him up.
RyanMac 185
At this stage in his career and after all his injuries I don't see wages being a problem. If he can prove his fitness, better than a youtube video, then he would be a phenomenal signing. BlueCafu 3
Maybe on a pay as you play contract. Could do a job if he stayed fit.
50ShadesofBlue 667
Really showed how fit he was bouncing that ball off the wall. I'm convinced.
