bluejeff 16
Can anyone tell me just exactly where we stand on trying to bring back Carlos, do we have any kind of agreement in place with villa ?
JM1872 3,776
We're trying to get Cuellar back?!?!?!?!£2m has been agreed for the last 3 weeks. Both parties appear in no rush to complete the deal.
Nicolas Cage 31
I would also like an answer to this. I think it's possible that we have an agreement in place with Cuellar that he'll sign for us once he's recovered from his injury but that seems too good to be true. If he isn't to sign for us, why hasn't it already been announced?
rossDas 1,071
It's been that long I'm almost forgetting the details but I believe we have an offer accepted and he's apparently taking an eternity to decide whether to move. I suspect he is either waiting to see if we succeed in our Europa qualifier, or stalling to see what other offers are tabled.
FiftyFour 10
Fee and terms agreed apparently. He'll be a Rangers player by the next fortnight IMO.
mrmytto 220
Maybe making the most of his £40k per week on the injury table before he signs?
Goianegra 4,702
There's no use in signing him when he's injured. He's happily a Villa player picking up 35k a week doing fuck all. When he's close to full fitness I expect activity.
caseyjones 3,009
Are there any official links to Rangers, Villa and/or Cuellar clarifying any of this?
Getstiffed 8,863
Villa will force the issue as soon as they make a successful move for Alan Hutton.Replace a right back with a right back. Novel Idea.
MasterD 7,446
Fee agreed, contract offered, the rest after that is guess work
WWTC 2,257
As far as im aware, we've a fee agreed, the fact that McCoist has openly said we're talking to him means a fee must have been agreed with villa at some point. To the best of my knowledge, hes to see a specialist tomorow for his final check-up, after that id imagine things will move along quicker, if its going to happen.Additionally, its been rumoured a disagreement in his loyalty bonus payable by villa held things up, but that has been negotiated. devref 201
Replace a right back with a right back. Novel Idea.when did they start to allow this in the transfer market.do you think a swap is an option :whittaker:

feda16 136
Its the same deal we have with Danny Wilson, he's due to arrive at any time!
Getstiffed 8,863
Even though hes a centehalf papped out onthe rightIn the context of their squad he's a right back. They're losing one and replacing him with another.
voltago 66
IMO, I reckon this has been verbally agreed, and he will sign towards the end of the window.Would be stupid of us (and Cuellar) to complete the deal now when he can't even play. Would cost both parties money from now until the end of the window.

cambyloyal 20
If we dont sign him in this window, can he sign a pre-contract in january?2 million is a steal get him signed up defo before someone else does
Blue_Stu 1
If/when this deal is completed and Carlos is fit then obviously the best defensive option would be him and goian. Does that mean Bartley is just cover for these two,or does he move to cdm and big Jig is a benchwarmer?
iain1712 336
Hopefully as suggested earlier this deal has been all agreed verbally. I think we can assume he is going to be taking a wage cut to come back to ibrox so it would make sense for him to delay the move until he is nearer fitness if he signed now he's taking an immidiate wage cut. So why not milk a few extra quid out of villa. Let's face it he's no use to us until he's fit so it may be a wee bit speculative on my part this scenario but I live in hope WATP

the goal machine 7,824
Wouldn`t touch him until he can prove his fitness we don`t want another Daniel ProdanHe has played around 60 games in a single season for us before. I'm pretty sure he won't be another Prodan.
