caseyjones 3,009
reading minds now? What evidence is there that he's a midfielder? Where did he play for most of his time in Spain?
caseyjones 3,009
Correct me if I'm wrong, but for Almeria, he played RB and RM, did he not? (With the very occasional appearance at LM)Mostly RB. Gunny gets his info from Darrell.
theweebluenose 4,335
Maybe shift Bocanegra to left back and give Perry a start alongside Goian, maybe his words in the press this week will encourage Ally to give him a start.

ProfessionalCynic 2
The thing is, if the management saw Ortiz as a good option in defence then he probably wouldn't have started at RM that day at Fir Park when we had McMillan and Perry in the back 4 (both of whom played very well). It would be interesting, but I'm not sure it's very likely. I suppose you can argue that Whittaker wasn't available and so playing Ortiz behind him wasn't an option, but I doubt that makes too much difference. gunslinger 270
he's clearly not a full back. god knows what's going through peoples minds.
caseyjones 3,009
where has he played all his time in Scotland. He hasn't, that's the problem.

Carsons Dog 9,878
Must be MacMillan to start surely, if not the guy had better just get himself another clubAgreed
dukestreetsoup 69
Don't see the thinking behind Ortiz playing RB and Whittaker RM. Although Ortiz can play in that position he is predominantly not a footballer.Too many changes could cause us serious harm, the consistency of team selection has been a massive factor in our league form. loch71 10
That all but confirms Kirk and McCulloch will start with probably McKay starting before the other three midfielders. That is a fooking depressing thought mate
kplfishtank 4,669
does my nut in that Papac could play for Bosnia but he seems to be missing when we need him, i preffered it when he was retired from international football.
ChrisMackay7 0
I have no idea how he will line up tomorrow as there are so many possibilities. Personaly as much as i love perry as a player, i would not disturb the goian boca partnership (by putting boca left back). So i think they may start as centre backs with whittaker at right or left back and unfortunatly broadfoot on the otherside. although i would like to see someone else like maybe perry or cole or even ortiz as i BELIEVE he has played right back before. Midfield is anyones guess with davis either right or centre, edu right or centre, possible mculloch centre, possibly mckay left mid or behind striker(s), maybe fleck or kerkar after playing well in bounce game. Jela is a certain starter and prob lafferty depending on fitness
bear down under 28
Mckay has played left back for national team and done well,so heres my teamShaggerwhitakergoianbocaMckaybedoyadaviseduFlecklaffjela4-3-1-2change it up a bit to accomadate injuries and i cant watch big captain kirk
RFCstuart 317
What's wrong with Bartley?
FlippinEck 3,751
Would prefer to see Whittaker out at LB and Mcmillan at RB but we will probably see Broadfoot thrown in Kevs suggestion of Boca at LB would be acceptable too
ScottBF2 3,540
If Kirk starts then I think we need Ortiz in there. Going forward I'm still undecided on him, but he gets back well enough and covers for his full back. But please, please I'm begging you Ally, don't play Broadfoot. TerryHurlock 21
Don't get why people are saying play Boca RB ? yes he can play there but why break up him and Goian when someone else can fit in there.
BeautifulSeas 10
It's also possible that McKay could start at left back, as he did for Australia last week.

KBOO72 4,506
Assume it's a mistake from stv that there is no McCulloch in that list?If that squad list is true , perhaps allys finally realised that there are better options than mcculloch , especially in home games .
