Edmiston Drive 3,846
Might seem a silly question but if that's what we used to sing to them then how come they sing it to us now? How come we stopped singing that to them?Just moved onto something more topical at the time as in we all live in an orange sub,,,,,,,,,,,, and also they tainted it. Senna 735
Let's just get back to being up to our knees in their blood and tell them to fuck off back home because the totties are growing again. The bill doesn't come into force until next month, so we can fill our boots until then. Y'know, since no current legislation would possibly have been applicable to the problem of sectarian singing that made this bill SO necessary. Adoniram 1,919
Read this and weep folks. VB contacted Stratchclyde Police and the Area Procurator Fiscals office for clarification of the H word. Why were we not surprised to get this response:-To ensure future enquiries reach the correct department, are recorded and appropriately actioned, please direct all correspondence to Strathclyde Police contactus, a link for which you will find on the Strathclyde Police website. On direction received from the area Procurator Fiscal Service the term of ‘h**’ and of ‘T im’ are at present, not being treated as a sectarian comment when used solely with no other aggravating factors. Clearly with the development of pending legislation or future case law then police action in relation to certain words or phrases may change. The Football Coordination Unit of Scotland are committed to engaging with supporters groups to discuss amongst other things songs sung at football. This is with a view to taking on board supporters opinions, liaising with the procurator fiscal and providing advice and guidance to supporters.Match reports are used on a weekly basis to report to the football authorities a wide range of behaviour which includes inappropriate supporter behaviour. Strathclyde Police will continue to fully utilise this reporting method as one of the tools available to positively influence supporters.Kind regardsSimon Wright

kplfishtank 4,745
GCL if Wrights cops are not being told to apprehend fans for singing the Hun word there will be no cases to answer. We were told this would affect all fans but Celtic continually sing this word at all other sides they believe have Protestant fans, if they are not dealt with how can any of our fans group ask our support not to use these song. Our fans aint daft and will return to the good old days.

If a word is used in a sectarian, or offensive way, then that word is by definition, sectarian and offensive.
Mitchy1094 3
Don't regress please. Why are we considering belting out TBB this weekend? What happens then? We just lower ourselves to their level and leave ourselves open to problems-in the media and legally. All that'll happen with us singing TBB or TFS is we'll end up looking like the bad guys again! Mark my words, eventually they WILL get caught out. Maybe it won't be via the "Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Bill" and when it does we'll know who truly is Scotland's Shame. Let those arseholes think they're untouchable..and see what happens when we get 4iar and they get charged.

Bigotted, diseased filth that needs sweeping down the gutter.

gillRFC 0
Scotland is run by hypocrites, so is the SFA/SPL. We all know its one rule for them and another for us. Although as fans we have stopped the "offensive chanting" we will always be portrayed in the media as the bigots. The only reason im against the singing of the so called "offensive chants" is, wouldnt we get hit with a fine(or is that only in european games)? We cant afford any additional expense. minstral 5,375
In my younger days which was a long time ago, both sides could sing what they wanted and nothing was said. But along came the do-gooders and the PC mad gang and the fun has gone out of the game.We then had a owner who came along and wanted nothing do do with our songs or culture, and tried to dismantle our culture and traditions, and set up a grass line for fellow bears to grass on each other. While this was going on the scum were happy to tell the whole world that they were the Catholic club, while our club were ashamed to say that we were known as the Protestant club.
