scottyc06 6,916
RANGERS star Dorin Goian insists he’s going nowhere this summer and wants to be part of an Ibrox title-winning side next season. The Romanian defender is adamant he doesn’t want to leave Glasgow despite the financial problems which have engulfed Gers this term.Several players took huge pay cuts when the club were plunged into administration in February – as they tried to save jobs at Ibrox.Goian and the rest of Ally McCoist’s squad have clauses in their contracts which allow them to leave at the end of the season for a cut-price fee.But Goian has revealed he’s eager to stay. He said: “It has been a difficult year for everyone connected with Rangers. But despite those problems, it was also nice for me.“I want to stay. I have a contract for another two years and want to play for Rangers.”
Gerwelly 115
Nice to hear and hopefully a sign of what the majority of the squad is thinking or is it a case of talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words? Or
BlueSuedeSambas 54,231
Its nice to hear that a player wants to stay, especially with what we are facing. However,I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. He started really well, but his form has been really ropey for about six/seven months now. The Godfather 72,405
If he agrees to stay on reduced wages then that's great.
waltzer83 27
Its commendable that he wants to stay but there's no getting past the fact he has been rotten for 4 or 5 months.
DrFunke 401
He seems type of player who needs a rest for a game or two now and then but hasnt really had that.
WaltersGotStyle 160
I think a full preseason will do him the world of good.I f we can keep a good few of our players together there is no reason why we cannot be competitive
Smile 26,622
I think he's a very good defender so good to hear.
Mckay 146
Great news, he is a great defender but as already mentioned does need a break. We need to remember these players have been working under some amount of stress so there is no doubt some of his performances weren't the greatest. I agree, a pre season would be fantastic for him. He can relax and get fit for the league next season.
gunslinger 270
he should be the first to go. Perry is better younger and cheeper.
rfcfraserrfc 262
Goian has been a good servant to us. Not one of the best defenders but certainly not the worst.
RangersMedia 35,961
Brilliant at the start of the season, poor in the middle part but last 2-3 games he's been good again. I hope he stays.
JograBear 1,074
Rather Perry and Boca. Not sure Goian is worth the money.
nachothelegend 1,932
I am encouraged by this ,his commitment says it all ,and as some say his form has been up and down .He is a very good defender and can only get better at Rangers.
RangersMedia 35,961
he should be the first to go. Perry is better younger and cheeper.Perry is inexperienced and my fear is Boca will leave meaning we have to keep Goian - Perry needs someone much more experienced alongside him. new eagle 10
Glad to here,, think he will improve next season, but he needs to score more goals at set pieces, not causing enough panic in opposition defences for such a big guy!!! Hope to see you in the blue of rangers next season big man!!!!!
C_Lynch 0
Meh, he's been awful for the last few months. Would rather keep bocanegra if possible and give perry a chance .
WaltersGotStyle 160
People getting excited about Perry - can't see it myself, although I suppose we may not have much choice
GlasgowsBlue 329
Hopefully this is what all the squad think.
rfcfraserrfc 262
Perry is a poor version of Danny Wilson unfortunately.
El Carpintero 546
Perry is a poor version of Danny Wilson unfortunately.Wilson, the young lad who was rag-dolled by every SPL striker?
