The Godfather 71,889
James Horncastle on what what the other half of Milan have been up to while AC Milan have been busy buying Balotelli..."Stirred into action perhaps by rivals Milan signing their former player Mario Balotelli, Inter were the busiest club in Serie A yesterday bringing in no fewer than four new players. The one everybody's excited about is Mateo Kovacic, an 18-year-old central midfielder signed from Dinamo Zagreb for 11m euro who had reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid. "He has the potential to become better than me," insisted former Milan player and legend of Croatian football Zvonimir Boban. Another youngster, the 19-year-old Uruguayan trickster, Diego Laxalt was brought in from Defensor, with Inter apparently beating Benfica to his signature. Laxalt has been proclaimed, if rather predictably and prematurely, the next Alvaro Recoba
The Godfather 71,889
He turned down the chance to talk to Chelsea yesterday but he might still end up in the Premier League. BBC Midlands Today understands that Stoke City have become the first club to make a formal bid for 19-year-old Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland today. No word on the fee as yet. rfc1990 1,140
No Hooper then.I think they wanted two strikers in.Agree with what you said earlier about Newcastle and Hooper, they need another striker that can score goals. Ameobi is awful and Gouffran isn't a goal scorer.
