Clemdog 39,389
Jim asked him how damaging it would be if SPL Club's voted to reject a Newco Rangers.Doncaster then just spewed alot of shite of how 'Second guessing would be pointless'...Shat it. Edmiston Drive 3,846
Two important things of note for Gers fans.First it notes all the Scotland games we will boycott so now we know which dates we have free. Second is that fixtures to be published on June 18 therefore are they taking a chance on whether we are in or out?You got your photos from the meal on Friday? Edmiston Drive 3,846
seems good news.Alasdair Lamont @BBCAlLamont ND: "punishing clubs for entering admin, when then they achieve sporting advantage, they should receive sporting penalty, seems logical." Going by the above statement, we have already received our sporting penalty by the 10 point deduction...............or is this him playing the fly man as to bring in removing league titles, but that should be a no no ,as we seem to have been blasted from sfa/spl for non payment of Tax and NI.Which did not happen during a title winning season. Used to go the players end of season dance through the 80s and into the 90s , superb night and they always had whatever trophy was won that season. One if the best nights had McCosit up on the stage doing his Springsteen and another with Durrant on crutches at the end of the night on a table singing he's blue , he's white he loves a kebab and a fight.that one was after his fracas at PR Toll in the kebab shop. You can't punish a club for operating whilst being in debt as that would mean almost every SPL club would be in trouble. Operating with a debt isn't on their punishment lists (yet) although they may bring in a sub-clause just to catch Rangers. Seriously, we were still in reasonable health at the end of last season until that crook Whyte took control. We were repaying debt to Lloyds and had got the overall debt reduced significantly over the last few years. The only possible problem was and still is the EBT case. What is awaiting us is the SPL enquiry into the alleged use of dual contracts. I can't see why they haven't decided on that yet as we either had dual contracts or didn't. Was it not alleged that the likes of Larsson had an image contract with the club he played for in Glasgow.Would be yet another nail in murrays coffin as he said in public only once contract was in force for the players. If you took the ebts to the limit there could be a case for saying players pensions that the clubs paid into could in fact constitute a second contract. Taking things a bit far , but hey........would maybe put a spanner in their works.

Edmiston Drive 3,846
I don't know exactly how the EBT payments were made nor how we will fare in the HMRC tribunal but if HMRC haven't proved after 2 years that tax was due then how can the SPL or SFA say otherwise. That's what I have been thinking.I mean they HMRC seem to have the bit between their teeth as if to prove a point. You can bet your bottom dollar this scheme was set up for the benefit of murray. Another point that you have to consider is who approached MIH to get them to do this scheme and then decide to include Rangers in it.we know bain and greig had an ebt ,,,,,,but how many players and like most schemes that are in force to reduce tax liabilities they have set guidelines as to how they are run . Now someone must have acted as auditors for the scheme to report to HMRC so have they slipped up by missing something as to the use of the scheme, and should they not be challenged and also was the scheme set up under the murray group umbrella.......if so one would think that they should be held responsible for the misuse of the scheme.Even the other week I met with a guy here in Aberdeen and he had an ebt with his business............how many players involved in this scheme? It seems to be the press have got it into their minds that this is the only reason players signed for the club and again murray has gone public to say that only one contract per player existed.Did he lie saying this or like we should by now realise that the press/media run with the doom and gloom side of a story. Johnny Hubbard 280
BBC's take on this isfans are being prepared for a newco Rangers entering the SPL with no penalties. They seem to be suggesting Doncaster has an inkling of which way the vote will go and it's along the lines that the vote will go against proposed penalties for a newco so there'll be no sanctions in place. True_blue_82 3
Doncaster goes on about gaining a sporting advantage. Have Ross County not done this also. They don't have a ground that meets SPL rules and therefore have to groundshare. Plenty of clubs have spent money on there grounds at detriment to the team on the park - Falkirk, Raith Rovers are 2 such teams. I'm also sure there used to be a rule to get promoted to SPL that the team had to be actively looking to be upgrading there ground to meet the rules but Ross County still have no plans to do so. delamonty 992
So.. in a terrible economy, with so many of us hurting, we HAVE to go to away matches because the SPL say so?Seriously, you could not make this up. Victoria Park currently has a capacity of 6310, but only 2590 seats. The current work is to convert the ground to meet the SPL criteria. They've had a bigger ground than the population of Dingwall for decades.
