They done well last season, but still not good enough for a club of that size.

Winning silverware is what it's about yet they seem to accept CL football as a real sucess when really for a club like Arsenal they should be fighting for titles and cups.

Thats not really true, in 110 years of History before Wenger came in they had only won 10 titles and 6 FA cups. Arsenal are no more of a big club than Spurs, Villa, Newcastle, Everton etc and this should be remembered. Like all the other clubs unless they get a sugar daddy they cant compete with the Manchester clubs and Chelsea. Arsenal have been over achieving for years and Wengers should get a pat in the back for qualifying for the CL group stages 15 years in a row.

If giroud and podolski were as good as people say then the likes of Milan , city , united , real madrid etc would be chasing them

They are good players , but never going to be in the class of van Persie, tevez, aguero and Rooney at club level

No logic in that at all.

Barca sign him for €18M and immediately put a €80M buy out clause on him!

Arsenal were once a club who could attract top level players and pay them decent wages, the influx of the foreign billionaires has changed that possibly for a very long time (or until Wenger leaves) teams like Arsenal are now just feeder clubs for the mega rich clubs out there.

it's annoying because kroenke is the owner and he wont splash the cash. the second biggest shareholder alisher usmanov is richer than abramovich by some way is itching to plough money in for signings. If he did arsenal could still attract top players

The club needs one of them to sell to the other so that it can start becoming a major force again, but would Wenger actually spend £30/40M on a single player? Or sanction his board to meet £200k+ a week player wages demands? I highly doubt it tbh

If Arsenal are going to be happy with 4th place, then the prices they charge the fans for everything from a prawn wrap (yeah, I know) to the season tickets have to fall.

Fans are being charged the highest prices in English football, which is just wrong.

Don't read too much into those clauses, they are obligatory under Spanish law and are obviously vastly inflated, so no one gets any clever ideas.

The stories that Wenger won't spend big are completely untrue. The problem is that the board will not sanction enough wages.

He would easily be willing to spend £30 million but any player worth that much expects about £200,000 a week which the board could probably afford but choose not to pay!

Last summer they thought they had agreed a deal with Mata for about £24m but Chelsea came in and offered him considerably more which they just couldn't compete with.

The big criticism of Wenger is that he isn't really prepared to buy many players in the lower value range - maybe five to ten million - where wages wouldn't be a problem because he doesn't believe they are any better than the kids he can bring through.

I really dont understand why Arsenal have got shot of Song and why Barcelona have bout another defecsive cm, it just does'nt make sesnse, RVP i can understand but Song was probably the key player for Arsenal and he'll cost a bomb to replace,

Arsenal will struggle this season and i wont be surprised is it's Vengers last at the Emirates.
