Mark. 69
Better person, not as good a player yet.
beerbelly 31
i'll astick my neck out here...McCabe & Ness played against better opposition and i dont think MacLeod or Mckay were ready for that level of opposition at the time. But i will stick my neck out and say this (barring injury halting progress or ending career) .. in mid-longer term Mcleod and McKay will be the better players and have the better careers. MrT 173
When promising youngsters Jamie Ness and Rhys McCabe opted not to transfer over to the new company for financial gain, there was no doubt we were losing 2 players with huge potential. But every cloud has a silver lining and the departure of Ness and McCabe has allowed Lewis MacLeod to get his chance in the team and he hasn't disappointed so far.So how would you compare him to those who left? Do you feel like we have kept the best player out of the three?Ness had one magical moment and was injury prone and McCabe showed early signs of Barry Ferguson.Early days with MacLeod but he looks like he could do a shift in the SPL easy in a few years time! Broxi 11,562
Really? He's been every bit as good as Black, who has a wealth of experience and is a talented player. You must be watching a different team.I heard he played well against East Stirling but in the other games he has been very quiet, not doing anything wrong but no real spark there. Ness and McCabe were a good bit better but as I said MacLeod is younger than them when they had broke through.
Broxi 11,562
btw underwhelming might have been taken the wrong way and I probably should have used a better word, just meant he hadn't done anything special yet. McKay has looked excellent though considering his age.
