Ibrox, on a lovely warm sunny evening!

Recommended Posts

No, not tonight...but August 9th 25 years ago! Davie Coopers testimonial at a packed Ibrox. Have just been trawling through some old pictures & stumbled across these! Shame about the quality. This was in the days when instant camera's didn't have a zoom. Click on each image for a full size copy!

Anyway...hope you enjoy these! :)

My first ever game that my old man took me to when I was 7. Have been arguing for years with other bears that it was auxerre we played. Wit a fud!

Pah, one French team is the same as the others mate!! :D It's strange how your memory plays tricks on you. I always thought I was in the Broomloan Rear for that game and saw Clive Allen scoring a goal into the Copland End. Clearly I wasn't in the Broomie! Am still sure Allen scored though....just could have sworn I saw him scoring while I was sitting in the Broomloan Rear!! :D

I am sure 5K where locked out that night.

Yeah. I was one of them locked out that night.

I've never ran from a supporters bus to the ground as quick as I did that night! It was obvious from early evening that it would sell out well before kick off!

Girondins de Bordeaux was their full name.

I had a tear in my eye that night, that was the mark of the legend David Cooper was to us.

Hard to believe how long ago that was.

I know mate. I can't believe it's 25 years!! Bonkers!!!

(tu) Thanks guys!
