Lot of pish and bluster getting touted in this thread.

Why are some now backing a poster on FF who backs Murray etc when a few days go they thought they were arseholes for wanting such a thing? The fact the board are suing must mean there are grounds to show threatening behaviour, in which case the poster has no one to blame but themselves.

For anyone that can't view that pic

Background to allegation a threat has been made against the property of a director

At 7.18pm this evening I received an email from a solicitor acting on behalf of Rangers saying that a post had been made on the site which appeared to incite an attack on the car and home of a director.

I note that Mr Chris McLaughlin of the BBC had been informed of the post and tweeted concerning it at 7.37pm

I opened the email at about a quarter to nine and responded at 8.49pm.

Despite the solicitor intimating that he had screenshots of the post I was not informed of the name of the poster or the thread in which the alleged post was made and no complaint has been made through the “red triangle” system we operate. I have asked for the username to be given.

The same solicitor was kind enough to include a screenshot concerning another post entirely in an earlier email received today.

I should note that both the director and solicitor concerned have my mobile number but I have had no communication on it this evening. The director in question has made use of his knowledge of my mobile number on several occasions over the last year.

Follow Follow relies upon it’s users to alert us to untoward posts - if you see anything offensive please click the red triangle which is attached to every post - this generates a report to our admin team. Rangers and their PR advisors are aware of and have used this system on occasion over the years.

We have never been taken to court in 13 years of operation due to the commonsense of the vast majority of our users and the excellence of our admin team in dealing with complaints.

Should you see any unpleasant posts please use the “red triangle” system to alert us to them. Please do not respond yourself online to agent provocateurs or those posting material of an offensive nature.

The board have also reported to police Scotland that some fans are planning a protest. This says it all.

These are the same fans that are paying these arseholes there wages i think they are more than entitled to protest against yous wankers if they want to.

Weather people agree with it or not they should be allowed to do this.

Can u explain how someone using threatening behaviour has outed the clubs board as people intent on destroying us?? Strange there wasnt such outrage prior to a FF poster mobilising the troops when he realises he's going to get fucked in court for crossing the line.

There is no one out there willing to buy us out, that tells you all about their allegiances that they claim to hold dear for the club.

Club Statement

WRITTEN BY RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB

RANGERS FC have tonight informed Police Scotland of deeply offensive and threatening comments that have been made on the Follow Follow website. These remarks have placed a director and his family in a state of fear and alarm.

This Club is shocked by the kind of physical violence being mentioned and is sure the vast majority of Rangers' support will share our alarm and disgust. This type of rhetoric can never be deemed acceptable.

Rangers FC cannot tolerate this behaviour and intend to take an extremely robust approach to this sort of conduct. The board finds it inexplicable that some so called supporters of the club are bringing Rangers into disrepute and these people are not welcome at Ibrox.

The board is also aware that certain individuals are holding meetings and inciting fans to unruly behaviour. This has also been reported to the police.

Given that we don't have the actual post to view and discuss, I find it odd that people can have such certain opinions.

I agree with people who have said the internet threats are easily made and hardly ever followed through with, but I ask concerned at the nonsensical narrative that is developing that 'this Board go after people for scrutinising them'. From what I can tell, and from reading the post taken from FF this is about a post which was abusuve and threatening, not one asking for transparency and governance.
