JamieD 19,030
Will be interesting to see how he does in Brazil, in World Cup terms time is running out for him a bit with it only being once every four years. Albeit we do have the Euros as well.I think he'll be the star, especially if Messi doesn't make it through injury, which seems like a seriously possibility. harlands plater 16,990
I can't see Messi not being included for a World Cup Finals in Brazil, even if he isn't 100% fit.I would say that's where he could get the edge over Ronaldo - Argentina do have a chance of winning it, but there's no way Portugal will even with Ronaldo. OLE SUPER WILBERT 2,475
Iniesta They've reopened the voting for POTY because not many voted and people are being allowed to change their vote, last night might have sealed it for Ronaldo. JamieD 19,030
Hmm, and I suppose Barcelona could rush him back again.I can't see a Barcelona presided over by a man as ruthless as Sandro Rosell sacrificing club success for Messi's world cup dreams either
BlueSuedeSambas 54,162
66 goals in 2013, top scorer in the Chamoions League in the 2012-13 competition, likely to break the record for goals scored in the group stages in the 2013-14 competition & scored a hatrick to become Portugals joint record goal scorer and send them to the World Cup.Individually that's an impressive year at the very highest level. BlueSuedeSambas 54,162
I would. There's at least 3 that deserve it ahead of Ribery.Disagree.Ribery was considered the best player in the most successful season in Bayern Munich's history. That puts him right up there with Messi, Ibrahimovic & Ronaldo IMO even if his goal return hasn't been as impressive. ChampionsAgain 1,373
Ronaldo goals 2013 - 66.Messi and Ribery 2013 - 64.Ronaldo is the best player in the world right now, If Messi wins again its over sheer favouritism.

BlueSuedeSambas 54,162
Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Barcelona forward Lionel Messi, 26, winning the prestigious Ballon d'Or for a fourth year running after it was suspected the result was leaked to a Spanish news agency. dummiesoot 16,035
I hate C Ronaldo but could not grudge him the award this year. Robben should be next I think.
