Imagine the big jesse's on here if UB did take guns to a match...Every thread would be a greeting match with no one talking about football

ready1873 3,893
The incidents didn't take place outside the stadium so the 'Imagine taking a gun to a game of football' lines aren't realistic. They were organised away in the city. Napoli and Fiorentina fans/ultras clashed before Roma ones aimed for Napoli's.
The Educator 1,572
"Who the fuck brings a gun to a football match"? The obvious answer being an Italian. Seriously though this makes me think back to watching what happened at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels prior to the 1985 European Cup final between Juventus & Liverpool. I had been invited round to dine with some friends and to watch the game on TV afterwards. As we watched the scenes coming in you could have heard a pin drop as none of us had ever thought we'd see that sort of situation at a football match. Sadly twenty nine years later there are those who still haven't learnt anything from that night.
General Custer 516
This sort of thing happening in Italy just doesn't surprise me anymore, and to think of the tizzy our newspapers get in when there's a few flares let off
