Our first year back...

Let's not go overboard here he won the Norwegian version of the SPL against teams like Odd fc, FK Haugesund, Sogdal fc and the giants of Sarpsborg 08. A large chunk of the time he was fighting relegation with his team.

If Delia was any good he would not even be in a backwater like the SPL in the first place English clubs would have snapped him up for a lot more than co-op fc could pay. Delia is only here cause Liewell knows even a traffic cone could win them the league next season.

As for the super attacking Football his teams play heard the same crap about PLG and Dr Jo.

If Rangers as a club gets it's act together over the next 12 months we'll win the league against this clown, it's not what he or they do that's important it's about what Rangers do.

Based on that logic, we've won the league against the giants of Falkirk, St mirren, Kilmarnock, motherwell, inverness.

As I said worry about our own mess first.

lets face it for a rangers supporter you seem to only get any positives in your posts when celtic are mentioned for Rangers you are all doom and gloom.

Again you mistake realism for something else, so far our management team havent shown anything to suggest they have the know how to win the premiership, our players bar the 3 new ones havent shown anything to suggest they'd be top of the premiership

On top of that we are skint and like it or not the tarriers arent, not now anyway

People need to come back to reality, this isnt a roy of the rovers story, we've spent 14million in two seasons against part timers abd haven't even won the ramsdens cup

See the people on this thread slagging the bheggers nobody manager, keep it shut and concentrate on our own mess before it comes back to haunt us. That nobody of a manager guided a team from relegation nobodies to champions of their country for the first time in forty years playing some decent attacking football it seems along the way.

Lets concentrate on our own mess of a manager who has crashed out of every competition he's entered and spent millions to beat part timers playing absolute disgraceful football along the way.

Yeah but many of our fans would have us believe that nobody but Ally would have taken the job as Rangers manager. If anything, Celtic's new manager proves that there are young managers out there with potential, and who can win things playing an attractive style of football. These guys are willing to come to Scotland you just need to look for them. We can't seem to look for anything new these days including players.

You're just a liar, Goat.

Did you forget about the two league competitions McCoist won? Did ye, aye?

No-one had heard of this Delia fella until a couple of weeks ago and in this thread he's been described as a clown and a young manager with potential who plays decent attacking football. Wow, did you lot use the full power of your imaginations to come up with all that?

All I know about him is he wasn't Celtic's 1st choice.

This squad under mccoist would finish 4-6th

This squad right now would struggle to do well in the SPL no matter who the manager was.

No one can be expected to put a team of free transfers up against a team that's spending millions on players and win over a league campaign.

Too many people think that sacking Ally would suddenly make Rangers a world force again ignoring the fact that no matter who the manager is serious investment is needed on players.

Are you saying "serious investment" was needed for us to win the Ramsden Cup?

That's TWICE we've been knocked on our arse in that one by teams who are a million miles away from having "serious investment" squads.

The dud is holding us back.

Serious investment is needed for the SPL no matter who the manager is.

As for the Ramsden cup the players are just as much at fault as Ally about time they started some of the responsibility as well.

A notion that US President Truman was known for adhering to, "The buck stops here".

I'm sorry, but the manager is het for it.

Criticism of the manager is fair when he makes a blunder or bad tactical decision but what did he do that cost us the Ramsdens cup?

The only change he could have made was to start Clark would that have made a huge difference?

Ally can't make Daly or the rest who earn big money try harder that's up to them as professionals.

We had the chance to win the 3rd and 2nd divisions using a combination of youth and experienced lower league players plus one or two of the senior playerd that were already at the club. Low wages but still enough to comfortably win those leagues.

That would have left us more money to build a team this that would be good enough to win this league and be ready to challenge at the top next season.

Instead mccoist goes out and spunks wages against the wall on players who we didnt need and ended up releasing before we were anywhere near the SPL. Now we're skint once again and are nowhere near ready for the top league.

As for sackin Ally, it will do the squad a hell of a lot of good and more people will buy STs.

Youth and experienced lower league players? I swear some people subconsciously want us to turn into Dundee United or, worse, Queen of the South.

There are only six players who have contracts beyond June 2015. Templeton and Clark ,Shiels,Wallace,Law and Bell.Only Nicky Clark has not played in the top league.Chris Boyd in my opinion will be given another year if he maintains his scoring form.If you add in Lewis Mcleod and the best of the youngsters. We have the basis of a decent squad.

Not counting whoever we may still sign before August and two transfer windows to come. The outlook may not be as bleak as some may think for our return to the top.Three or four quality signings would see us in a stronger position than many foresee.

It may have not been a pleasant journey, full of sparkling football and trophy laden but I thank all the players and the manager,Board and staff for getting us to where we are now. Most of whom will no longer be at the club, come 2015.Whether through good planning or by accident. We will arrive at our destination and be ready for the challenges ahead. This season will undoubtably be tough but with the best supporters in the world at it's back, this club will soon be back to it's rightful place at the top of Scottish football.W.A.T.P.

I agree with this first part of your post, if we pull our finger out now in terms of organisation and planning for the future we could have a good year of looking at the right players to bring in for when we're back at the top. I hope we can get Nerlinger in as that would be a great start.

The same qots that cantered the league we just did, but had the audacity to win the ramsdens cup while spending 10% of what we did

Yeah that one. There's a model to aspire to, we could have looked forward to hanging around mid-table in the Championship then falling in the play-offs.
