All about opinions, some managers just seem to like certain players regardless of form or talent.

Just look at Strachan and the national team, guys like Rhodes and McCormack banging the goals in down south and yet Strachan continues to play Fletcher and Martin ahead of them.

I wouldn't judge a player just because he hasn't featured much for his national side.

Yeah I get that but I would consider all the above Scotland strikers to be of roughly the same standard. Given the hype surrounding Will Grigg I would fully expect him to be better than Josh Magennis. Just doesn't add up , Northen Ireland chasing a goal to keep them in the Euros and Magennis gets on and Grigg doesn't .

A mate works in a big casino in london where a lot of meetings are held, he was talking to macpartlands agent last night said that warburton and weir have signed new deals and should be announced on friday and we r trying to sign adam armstrong of newcastle. Was on loan at coventry last year and scored his fair share.

I'm noticing a lot of people we sign or are strongly linked with seem to be people that Warburton worked with at Brentford or Watford. OK that has some advantages but it's not a mindset we should fall into either/make it criteria for most of the people we look at.

I agree. Although given our circumstances and we're still trying to build a team it makes sense to go with what you know as we can't afford to make any mistakes as we don't have a ton of cash to waste.

If Rangers do use the loan market this season it needs to be on players who are going to walk right into the starting 11 not guys like last season who hang around and play the odd game here and there.

No point in bringing up 18-19 year olds to sit on the bench most weeks like the 3 we had last season.

The other side of that argument is that plenty on here were moaning that our youngsters weren't getting game time because we were playing someone else's.

There's a balance to be struck.
