is the change of style deliberate?

Start of last season high tempo, pressing game. Blew teams out the water to begun with. As the season progressed we seemed to slow down our play alot.

We signed some old players over the summer. Spine of our team yesterday was hill Barton Kranjaer and miller. You can't press the ball with that spine.

Is warbs changing the style or was yesterday just a bad day and his team selection was terrible?

Another thought is at the start of last season the players seemed to have real belief. After we started to lose games, our performances got worse. Now we have lost some big games they might have a fear to attack as much

I thought it looked like we went 4-4-2 in the start of the second half. One of the only positives I took from yesterday was it seemed we tried to change tactics. Either that or the team completely lost all shape ?

Starting miller was the wrong it seems, as was Niko.  When anew team is built with so many choices then it takea time.  Playing teams like Annan never helped.

We'll be fine, just so long as a solid defendee is brought in.

What I did notice was that whenever one of the fullbacks got caught out of position Barton immediately dropped in as CH and one of the CH's pulled out wide to cover the fullback, looks like that will help through the season!

Kranjcar was ineffective and slow yesterday, (not slagging, just an observation) as was our style of play. Our style of play was effective against Annan, East Stirling and Stranraer, but Martin Canning had it sussed from the off. Waghorn and McKay were contained, which resulted in the entire team becoming complacent

In the league, drop Niko until fitter. Just drop Miller.

Any permutation from MOH, Windass, Holt, Forrester and Dodoo would give us more dynamism which is required for our style of play.

Actually this Rossiter would over Barton too as much as Barton was motm yesterday.

Think we'll have enough to win in Tuesday regardless of which of yesterday's squad gets selected.

But next weekend is already huge.

Mckay had the boy booked and in his back pocket. He unexplicably stopped doing what had been successful and just became entirely anonymous.

He has all the ability in the world.  When he learns to capitalise on his advantage, draw more fouls / cards from his opponent or get them scared to go near him in case of picking up a red, then he'll move to the next level again for me.

I thought Barton looked far better when moved forward into Hallidays role with Rossiter at DM, this should be our midfield base with either Holt/Kranjcar/Forrester filling the other spot.

Aye I would agree. He was the fastest man on the park yesterday but it just seemed that when he was making those runs down the left and came to the corner flag he forgot what he was doing.

I like Wallace's attacking style, but it seemed to me whenever he pushed up yesterday and McKay had to drop back we were losing something in his absence. Thoughts on that? I've yet to watch the highlights so might be way off.
