Escobar 13,676
Heard a few people saying we are playing Leipzig in January during the winter break. Would be some trip.

kanjo 26,328
The most hated team in Germany for almost similar reasons. Inevitable success. Oh well.

That really isn't why they're hated. Themselves and Wolfsburg are great examples of soulless corporate creations launched purely for marketing/business interests, albeit Wolfsburg as a city was deliberately built to home Volkswagen workers so they have some claim to historical founding. RB Leipzig, like RB New York and RB Salzburg, are a stain on football. It isn't the Leipzig fans' fault but it's hard to care about their success. They're incomparable to Rangers, who have earned their support, dominance, and legacy over 144 years from an unprecedented love for football. EDIT: Been to a Wolfsburg game. Worst fan base, worst personal football experience abroad, and more atmosphere from 200 Augsburg fans in the corner than the entire ground. I read up quite a bit about them when they started to come to prominence.

Terry Hurlock Loyal 12,133
Thought the purpose of a January shutdowns was to allow players to rest? Seems a bit pointless if we organising traveling and a friendly.
kplfishtank 4,656
Germany is Baltic at that time all their teams tend to visit Florida or canary island to do a winter camp. Maybe the OP means we are playing them in Florida
