ElBufalo20 7,978
It appears to be a major cause for concern now. Pre season it looked good now we're expected to go the whole season with Halliday Holt and Windass. Crooks seems to be unreliable as does Rossiter whose done a vanishing act. And we know about Barton and Krancjar. We will struggle with those 3 playing the majority. Maybe try and convert McKay to an attacking midfielder as another option. Rossiter was injured - Kranjar is injured and just one of those things that happen in football - Crooks is getting up to match speed and we have a transfer window looming! Stop fucking looking for things to moan about. Besides Barton is on his way back!

Pre-season the most exciting part of the team appeared to be the midfield, we had a blend of youth, experience and had a pool of 7 players to choose from. Our, certainly my, optimism appears through a combination of injury and other factors to have been misplaced. The Rossiter 'calf injury' seems to be taking a while to heal and Crooks does not eppear fit enough, though he has the physique to play DM might be worth a shot as he cannot be worse in that role than what we have now. SeparateEntityMyArse 54,297
Yeah can see us looking to get loan signings in January to compensate for our lack of depth here.

BluegeneBop 157
Does not look like he [ Barton ] will be back. According to the bbc website, he has just signed off with stress while negotiating a severance package.

cushynumber 25,178
with a possible 3 from Halliday Holt ,Windass, Crooks, Rossiter, Forrister - and maybe even Tav filling in, the midfield is the very least of my concerns at the moment
Bears r us 30,998
I keep wondering why Crooks has not been given a chance, he must be fit by now ffs. Maybe he is just not good enough. Good to hear that Rossiter was playing last night, but he will need a good few under 20 games to get match fit I would think.
