Canabear 4,558 Posted January 18, 2021 Share Posted January 18, 2021 We were standing right in the middle of the Rangers end that day and when Colin Stein hit his shot if i remember right their goalie , Connaghan? , got a piece of it and it spun up then bounced and no one knew if it was going in or not until DJ raised his hands in the picture you see then the Rangers end exploded and bedlam ensued. Unfortunately we lost that game 2-1 to a late goal scored by the celtic player beside DJ , Jim Brogan , with the last kick of the ball , a goal all these years later i still say McCloy shoud've stopped. We went to that game on the supporters bus that left from the Twa Corbies in Cumbernauld and it was a single decker that seated 48 and when we got to the bheastdome the driver started counting the heads as we got off the bus and there was 86 of us on it.
