Teams come to Ibrox expecting to leave with nothing but with that horrible "tactic" they were about 20 mins away from taking 3 points from us and then about 10 mins away from getting the draw. More teams will try it now. We need to make sure we can keep breaking them down and also don't give them a lead to try and protect in the first place. McEwan's Lager 30,522 Posted December 20, 2020 Share Posted December 20, 2020 There’s no right or wrong way to play football and for 70 minutes yesterday they were impressive in the way they were organised and disciplined. We played them in pre season where they came out and attacked us and we destroyed them. A lot of us have forgotten that at home in a Champions League game we got a point by only having 29% at home v Barcelona. When we face a brick wall like yesterday, sometimes shooting from outside the box causes issues, but we take so long in getting a shot off from outside the box its gets blocked or the sting taken out of it Or if your davis like yesterday you can side foot a shot from outside the box that needs wind assistance to reach the keeper 😂😂 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Amokachi 3,009 Posted December 20, 2020 Share Posted December 20, 2020 Yeah they’ll be lots more of this kind of tactic to come, important thing for me is we just keep the attacks, runs, shots & pressure going as the opposition can’t maintain the defending for 90mins. Seen that tramp Watt yesterday, 60odd mins he was fkd physically & mentally so got subbed. It’s the intensity we need to drive forward with then subs at the right time like Aribo, Hagi & Itten to come on & exploit the wee gaps that appear near the end of the game.
