Every team in the hat, no pots 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th=pish. No groups, pure knock out football. I get what you’re saying mate. Was a tournament for champions. Times and money changed the game. Things evolved. Still, the greatest team I’ve seen play football is Barcelona in Peps years at the helm. They just transcended the game. My nostalgia lies in the early 2000s Premiership years. Money started to flow but it hadn’t completely ruined or saturated the product just yet. Best of both worlds. Long gone where the days of non seeding. I will admit the tournament was quite interesting at times but nothing like pre 92 at the absolute latest. Money was that rife in the early 2000s we had random quality players playing for the likes of Bolton with okocha and Middlesbrough with the Braziliana and ravanelli etc. Players less than a decade previous would have have been at those clubs bar the money
McEwan's Lager 30,555
I hate the 5 subs rule. I also find ultra style supporters in Britain a form of modern football.
