really? Campbell is about to turn 23 next month for starters. And was dropped for the Hearts game. He can’t even hold down a place on midfield and their own supporters don’t seem to rate him. Not saying he’s a bad player but don’t even think it’s close between the two tbh. Clarkson is 21 and sheep fans terrified of losing him. Big difference in 2 years improvement at that age as well

Lol think you’ve missed the point. At 23 they’ve done most of their development. And I wouldn’t advocate signing a Hibs player who can’t even start for them.

21 on the other hand you are improving a lot still (physically, tactically etc). Ideally we get a loan to buy. If not loan and we potentially get a great player to help us win the league for peanuts. If not. Nothing lost

Campbell has started 26 league games this season.  Clarkson has started 27 league games for Aberdeen.

Cba arguing about Campbell. He’s irrelevant as we won’t be signing him. Clarkson missed a few games through suspension and injury. But he’s played every game otherwise. Campbell has had a good season until recently and was dropped because of poor form for their derby. He’s a plodder with a great engine. Pretty shite technically and a terrible passer. He’s just Lundstrum version 2 but probably a bit shitter.

Clarkson is a player who is technically great and plays forward. Which is what we are crying out for. Clarkson could be shite but could also be great for us. And we could get him on loan which we can’t do for Campbell.

Morelos is on £30k and Kent around £15k.

McGregor, Arfield and Jack will barely be £30k between them as Jack and McGregor both reportedly took cuts last season.

I think it will be closer to half that assuming Jack signs on again.

Kent cost 7 million. There’s no way he’s only paid £15,000 a week. Think adding another £5,000-£8,000 a week on to that would be more realistic.

It would be the worst negotiated payment ever unless there was a big signing on fee to the player or an Ebt.

I can't think of any. Maybe one or two young players who have a bit of potential such as Dylan Reid before he went south and the young Motherwell right back Johnston but I think we need to look at other markets. The Scandinavian leagues for example. Look across the city at what dipping into the Asian market has brought them.

Levitt is one I really like. Max Johnston is another. Campbell, Nisbet and maybe one or two others but age kinda puts me off.

We get this stuff every time a team does well against us , the reason most of them do well is because of the effort they put in against us compared to the rest of the league. Nobody in this league is going to make our team better.

Pretty much everywhere reports him as on £18k (mistyped on £15k).

The fact Morelos has signed multiple new contracts since he joined but Kent hasn't makes me think he was always looking for a big move so chose that over a wage increase here.

He was a regular in the Hibs team last season too. He didn't turn 22 until May of last season.

So that's  'he can't get a start' despite starting as many games as Clarkson and he didn't break into the Hibs team until 22 despite being a regular at 21.

I'd sign a 35 year old from an SPFL club if he was quality. Age doesn't matter as long as they can give us a title winning season.
