Great news, I just hope it comes true and he can take Kirk Broadfoot with him. Neither are good enough!

You can't get rid of Broadfoot, he's a trier and a good Rangers man. (tu)

Unfortunatley that makes you good enough for Rangers these days - Kirk Broadfoot is fcuking brutal.

would rather see broadfoot go than adam. both of them play with their hearts on their sleeves and put everything into their peformances. if you ask me, adam has more quality than broadfoot any day.

There is absolutely no way we should be signing players who lack the basic skills needed to be a footballer simply because they are Rangers men.

The acceptance of mediocrity by so many of our fans saddens and depresses me.

The thing is, he isn't!

Look what we paid for Steven Whittaker - £2m could buy you a hell of a better RB than both him and Broadfoot. You can also pick up a good player on a bosman who are on relatively low wages - Kirk Broadfoot wasn't even the best defender at St. Mirren. He'd struggle to get a game in a few of the SPL sides.

It's not though, and thats why so many people get infuriated when we are linked to poor players.

Well it looks like everyone,s getting their wish, Adam,s to go[thats if anyone wants him].

Think it says he,s played something like 85 games for us, so no one cant say Smith hasnt given him his chance, but the boy just isnt up to playing for Rangers.

In my opinion the boy is now a worse player than when he first broke into the first team,it did look as if he had some promise but its just hasnt happened. So its best for all concerned that he leaves, and lets be fair to the lad, he,s a Rangers supporter playing for Rangers,he doesnt try to play badly he just hasnt got it so maybe we should say thanks for your efforts Charlie and all the best in your career elsewhere.

That's just it, he doesn't even try & do the simple things now, every pass, cross, shot, free-kick is an attempt to be "World Cup" standard! Even WS has come out & said that he tries things not many others would.

If he'd only just concentrate on doing the simple things then he'd maybe get a better reception! It's pointless having him in the side as he's incapable of retaining possetion!

After 85 top flight games, you'd think he'd have learnt that by now!

CHARLIE ADAM has been told he can LEAVE Rangers when the transfer window opens.

SunSport can reveal that the home-grown midfielder is the latest star to be made available in January.

Adam, just two seasons into a five-year contract, has failed to hold down a regular place and it’s understood he was given the shattering news by boss Walter Smith yesterday morning.

The left-sided star has hit 18 goals in 85 top-team games but has never been a favourite among the Ibrox faithful.

Now Adam, who turned 23 yesterday, has been told he can find another club as Gers seek to reduce the wage bill.

Aye, Happy Birthday Charlie doh

best post on this, spoken like a proper bear (tu)

sick to death of the disrespect shown by some who clearly are incapable of conducting themselves with dignity

When you've heard about Charlie Adam what I have then I personally don't think he deserves much respect shown to him. (tu)

They have also stalled on fresh contract talks with Scotland defender Kirk Broadfoot.

Boss Smith was ready to hand the stopper a bumper new deal more than five weeks ago.

But Broadfoot’s agent Tom Callaghan insisted last night that all attempts by his representatives to get in touch with Gers chief executive Martin Bain have fallen on deaf ears.

It is understood Gers DO want to hold on to the 24-year-old.

Ibrox sources claim the delay is down to the fact they want to slash their ballooning wage bill before offering anyone improved terms.

Yet that message hasn’t been relayed to Broadfoot or his agent.

Callaghan said: “We’ve made numerous attempts to speak to Rangers about Kirk’s future. But at this moment they aren’t prepared to talk about it.

“There isn’t anyone who is more of a Rangers man than Kirk.

“He dreams of winning things with the club and maybe even captaining them one day. I just hope he gets a chance to live out those dreams.”

Broadfoot penned a contract until May 2010 when he joined from St Mirren 18 months ago.

But he has since established himself in the side and won three caps. It is believed he wants a deal on a par with some of Gers’ other established stars — thought to be an increase of around £3,500 a week.

SunSport revealed yesterday that a number of Gers’ fringe players will go next month. They could include Chris Burke, Steven Smith and Christian Dailly.

am i the only one to pick up on this but, who the fuck gave him a 5yr contract ?????

that's criminal in it's self.
