FlippinEck 3,707
Rangers midfielder Alan Gow has been given permission to continue playing, despite failing a medical at Wolves earlier this month. Gers boss Walter Smith said, "Alan has returned from the specialist who said there is nothing wrong with his hip. "There is nothing needing done. He has a slight weakness in his hamstring which they are trying to fix, but he is free to play. "He would never have missed a game and it is difficult to understand what all the fuss was about. "(Wolves) have made their decision, but there is nothing from the specialist's point of view with the hip which we were told needs to be done. "He has to strengthen his hamstring, which he can do while he is training and playing. "It's a strange one, but there you are. "We have not had any more enquiries for anyone, but in his case that is influenced by the fact people think he is not fit and he is. "He never missed a game for Blackpool so when the thing came up, it was a surprise to everybody."

mark_ni 12
really weird one. I wonder if wolves will try to come back in for him with a lower offer before the window shuts. Maybe they just made it up to see if they could get him for even less money?

lancedeangers1 287
Just what the hell happened with this guy. Looked very promising, was getting rave reports from everyone. Then Walter signs him and all seems well, he plays a game for us against LA galaxy and then nothing. He played one or 2 cup games or something. Did he clash with Walter? Muff 245
Failed to do it in the reserves and in training - one or two flicks against East Stirling didn't do it for me.

biotechnology 2
Was told from a good friend at weekend the reason he is out of the picture. Banjoed AMc after being accused of being on drink/drugs & was told he would never lace his boots at Ibrox ever again. From a good source-The player himself- he told my pal over the Xmas holidays. Rubbish!! Attitude and over inflated ego allied to lack of effort and refusal to work for the team is his problem. There is also the fact that he is basically not good enough. It’s amazing how often this happens in football and never makes any newspaper. Player x punches coach y because he accuses him of situation Z it all equals bollocks to me……. As the player is teetotal I doubt he would be getting accused of that by anyone……

biotechnology 2
I suppose it must have happened after the East Stirling game & its not pish. Im not gonna namedrop-but I know a few of the Falkirk guys & they are in touch with Gowser regularly. Mr J.Calderwood & Billy reid are mates with my pals as well & its a well known story in the SPL. Making no further comments on this-either believe it or dont.

papaguy51 912
Gow's certainly not being dropped for drinks/drug usage. Boyd and Adam would have been chucked a long time ago if that were the case, apparently.

craigeee 60
These rumours come up all the time, any young scottish player who goes out of favour with the manager seems to have a drink and drugs problem. Unless Gowzers been on the steroids.
