  1. He was just before my time but I remember him coming out (at half-time?) during a 1973 friendly v Arsenal and the crowd going nuts.
  2. He shouldn't have been offered the job, and he shouldn't have accepted it.
  3. The split's farcical. Play some teams 3 times, some teams 4. Some teams 3 times away from home , 1 time at home. What kind of league is that? A joke.
  4. Good guy, hope he finds something else soon.
  5. If BBC Scotland do try to start covering our games again and turning up at our press conferences, I hope we do ban them. I'd let 5live in though.
  6. Do you think that hibs, managed by lennon, would stop x in a row?
  7. I can't say that I consider him a great player but he was a trier, total effort/commitment always. Up attacking, back defending he worked for the team. Wish we'd had more like him.
  8. My favourite all time Ranger. A man who wouldn't sell his "why I left Rangers" story to the press. Principles before £££s, there ain't too many of that type in football today, a great man.
  9. Giant recovering from a murder attempt.
  10. I look forward to the TT every year but I'm always fearful of competitors paying the ultimate price. It happens much too often.
  11. You've just made me laugh at a time when I don't feel much like laughin'.
  12. I used to wonder why they called it "auntie beeb" 'till I realised that it was "anti Bbc"
  13. I'd say Hateley, my father would say Willie Thornton.
  14. I guess Barry's ghost writer would like Murty to be the manager next season.
  15. Must be at least 4 decades since I had an MB bar but I can still remember them as if it was yesterday. Can't think of any old sweetie that I'd rather bring back.
  16. Surprised they chose him. I imagine Peter will decide in the morning whose heads will roll.
  17. If referees treated him like other team's players, especially ours, he would never've seen half time in about 500 of those games.
  18. Tranent 1 Dunbar 5 Surely he must have a wee shilling to pick up from the bookies tonight?
  19. Q. Do the officials treat everyone equally? A. Broonaldo.
  20. The headline wouldn't mention lego. It would be "Rangers fans throw missiles at Scotland captain". Would suit their agenda to a tee.
  21. Last league game of 1972-73 v East Fife. Big thrill for me but not for others as results elsewhere meant we didn't win the league.
  22. The thing that I don't get. How did the rugby authorities finance the rebuilding of Murrayfield into what it is yet the SFA couldn't redevelop Hampden into a decent stadium? Surely Scottish football must generate more money than Scottish rugby?
  23. Before my time but I'd like to see the "Iron Curtain" that my father always talks about.
