He done his cruciate on his first start, taken off at half time after scoring (against St Johnstone iirc)

He had about a 10 minute subs appearance at the end of the match before.

20yrs ago a ruptured cruciate was far more serious than today, and even today it is still a serious sports injury.

Ashame for us as he was a player that was highly rated.

Cuellar was absolutely outstanding for us, especially in Europe.

The way we played that season, and the way he just seemed to perfectly fit in beside Weir, it really brought out the very best in somebody (whose career suggests) was decent, but no more.

We could of had one of the worlds best defenders in there instead of Cuellar and I honestly am unsure that they could have performed better in that particular set up. He really was top drawer and a perfect fit style wise.

Another one that ran to the papers because Souness told him to kick the xunt he was marking up and down the pitch.    Whoever is left back on Sunday I want them to hit Forrest or Roberts on the first tackle  so hard they land in the east enclosure.

The guy had it all, was breaking all records, I was in the west enclosure that day against Motherwell and what a display.   He did not kick a ball after Christmas yet still scored more  goals (32) than  any player in Scotland that season including Larson.  

We will never know the full truth behind what really happened but it was that tight one game more was all it would have took with him and we could have won 10

I don’t particularly like him although I wasn’t alive when he played for us but it seems a lot of people do.
