Far from how it always works. Clubs sometimes get first refusal as seems to be the case here.

Tbh, it's just two different ways of saying more or less the same thing, the only difference is that there isn't a set fee. A surprisingly high number of times with options there isn't a set fee but a date by which the 'buyer' has an exclusive window to negotiate with the player/club over a move. (particularly outside the UK).

Feel for the kid but we need to be ruthless if we want to win the title. Needs to improve on the ball and if he can he’ll be a huge success down there then with us.

He needs to do the same if not better than Docherty has so far imo. Excel, smash it, then return and take his chance in pre season.

Don't know if I'm late to the party here but Gerrard says there is no deal for McCrorie to go. It's a developmental loan and he is someone the manager wants long term at Rangers.
