Man Of The Match. Our Most Under Rated And Often Forgotten At The End Player.

He's the guy who just calmly goes about his duty with consistency. Seldom has a bad game. Is always there at the vital time and never lets us down, and probably contributed most to tonights result.

I give you Allan McGregor.

Morelos was great, led the line, tried the tricks, great goal, rode the tackles, and smiled the whole time.

Barisic is born again, consistent, hard tackling, tough and commited.

Helander showed he will be a class act, read the game perfectly and got stuck in when needed.

But the guy who guaranteed us a result most tonight was the goalie, Allan McGregor.

Convinced if his distribution was better he could’ve played and still could be playing for anyone at the highest level

Honestly don’t think there’s another keeper around who can make some of the saves he does, I thought Porto had a certain goal twice there at the end and he saved us. He even nearly had a hand on their wonder goal

But let’s be real he’s not underrated not by Rangers fans at least

McGregor is none of the things stated in your thread title. None of them.

Took a little bit of licence with the title, but only after all the praise for the result had gone elsewhere  and threads had been bumped for Barker, Helander and Barisic. and realising he seldom gets MOTM award after so many brillaint performances influencing the result, especially in Europe.

Maybe he'll get his own RM thread now, full of praise,  a much higher award than MOTM maybe ?

The Porto keeper also made a world class save from Alfredo's header that stopped them from losing the game  ...... both teams played well last night and both goals were brilliant strikes  .... one a single bit of genius ... the other a brilliant  team goal ... from Helander to Kent to Barisic to Morelos.

Credit where it's due to McGregor for doing his bit to help the team come home with a point .... he is definitely a great keeper .... but he is certainly not calm and to most definitely never forgotten ... his performance last night was on par with more than a good few who played .... great team effort all round.

True but the power of that header from Alfredo deserved to go in .... but so were the two late shots at McGregor to be fair mate ..... both keepers had to be where they were to make excellent save from the attackers ..... :p:
