Latest on Whyte, so they say.
simplythebestest replied to StudsLonniegan's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I utterly, utterly, utterly hate the taxman and the government for trying to make an example of the only team in Scotland who has ever shown them any respect. They are hunting down and murdering their own. They were too scared to take on the EPL teams first and have obviously decided that us going under will deliver a message nationwide. Their actions are cowardly and reprehensible and I will never forget them as long as I live. Countless profiteering, murdering and GENUINLY dodgy as fuck businesses have gotten away with billions in tax avoidance/evasion and instead they come after us. FUCK them and FUCK their snake-like ways. -
Glad to see the fans are behind the team If it sells out I'll be proud as punch. WATP.

Why are we disputing a tax bill we never got?

The whole penalties thing baffles me. Imagine you didn't realise jay walking was illegal and had a fixed fine but the police never told you until you done it a million times. You'd have every right to say hold on a fucking second, it's your fault for taking a decade to pull me up. -
Message From Galatasaray Fans

Kind words - thank you lads -
Here's the thing though, if he is a perenially dodgy businessman moving from one company to the next he would need to stay under the radar. These past few months have seen his name dragged through more dirt than a tim's laundry basket. If he walks from or is forced out of our club, he'll never work again and almost certainly be hated by hundreds of thousands. He has a house in this country and there are bears the wolrd over so he can't even hide away in Monaco either. Surely he has no choice but to do whatever he can for redemption?

The Catch 22 is, if he really does have a master plan it'll be weeks before he can come clean about it (if ever). If he regains full control we might need to wait till the summer to see what he's got. For me, I can't wait that long. If we avoid liquidation, come out of admin, he brings that money back from the offshore account and makes legally binding guarantees to invest in the playing squad all within a few weeks then I'd accept that for now. However, I'm beginning to regret ever giving him my support.

Rangers Players Face Firing
simplythebestest replied to thehammersleftpeg's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Surely it'll be the deadwood that gets shipped? Could be a good thing if that's the case! -
Surely this stuff all comes down to organisation by a surpeme figurehead (Chariman for example) and with the backing of a bank or some other trustworthy financial institution who can verify all the legality. Let's say there was an open sale of 51%+ of shares between the 1st June and the 1st of August. The sale was arranged by Whyte and backed by RBS. If they're all sold, the money is taken out of your account. If they don't, it gets shelved and you keep your moolah. Also, everyone who buys shares gets a free gift! Free strip for £100+, signed jersy for £1000+, lifetime season ticket for £20,000+ etc. This is a crackin idea - who do I talk to?

Agree 100%. I've said my fair share of bad words about Salmond over the years, but his support now is more important than any hidden agenda. Rangers matter more to me than regional politics. Just this once - on yer sel big man.

I couldn't agree more. The class shown in that statement is absolutely fantastic. We should very much make a point of seeing DAFC get their £80,000.

McMillan vs Bartley/Broadfoot/Whittaker
simplythebestest replied to BEE's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Yes and no, he wanted to leave in order to get game time, but what he really wanted was to start every week in a blue jersey. -
I haven't the foggiest if this is good, bad, amazing, terrible, a death knell or whatever. All I do know is that if the press are wrong and CW is only looking out for the club, then he deserves so much sympathy. I've never seen anyone (other than page 3 models) receive this kind of daily torture and name besmirching before. He must find it hard to sleep and you have to wonder if he knew what he was getting himself in for. Whyte, I'm 70% sure you're the good guy in all this, and if I'm right you have my full backing and appreciation for your continued effort and patience. And god forgive those who have tirelessly tried to effectively end your working (and personal) life.

Well said sir. It'll feel like tough going at times, but let's get fully behind David Healy. He isn't the best player we've ever had, but he has more passion than most and with the right support from the midfield he'll do well. Lafferty also has a massive part to play, and we are not all that many games away from his usual end of season sprint. We just need to keep singing, keep believing and realise that if we can pull it off by some miracle, it would be one of the greatest title wins in our history.
