  1. Naismith getting injured actually seals the deal for me because it proved that he is our best player by a country mile. I'd give it to him if I could. I'd also be happy to see Boca get it, although it's not exactly a glowing example of how we are as a team considering he has made a few mistakes. If he was our 5th best player, we might be doing a lot better! Edu is vastly improved and deserves a huge deal of credit for that. He has shown bags of character and class, but I still think the role he plays is a small part of what we need on the pitch. Regarding Wallace, I'm a bit out of synch with other bears. I don't quite get what's meant to be good about him, but I'm happy to be proved wrong on that one. Whittaker is my candidate for worst player of the year. I hate to dwell on the failures on any Rangers player and I do feel the guy was largely just unlucky, but he has actually single-handedly cost us games this season. His performances in the Euro qualifiers proved very, very serious for our club.
  2. Leave the SPL. Create a new top tear with the 1st division teams. The SPL teams would be fucked cos they can't pay their wages. The 1st divison teams would prosper because they will get a boost in income and the filth won't be invited. Bag ten in a row. SIMPLE! If the SPL want to impose any kind of punishment whatsoever, we should reject it flat and hold them to ransome for everything they've got. They are meaningless drones in a system propped up by our huge support. We hold all the cards now because we are prepared for war. Many of our fans have been moderate supporters, especially during the McLeish and Le Guen eras, but since Watties return we have grown to understand the discrimination we face. We now understand this is not just a battle for trophies, but a war for freedom and the right to have our importance recognised. This administration and media war has rallied the troops, and we shouldn't be concerned about survival and instead focus on making this situation work to our benefit and finally deliver a hammer blow to our detractors. Fuck Lemon and his despicable crusade to rid the world of Rangers. He isn't close to being strong enough to dent even 1 supporters resolve.
  3. Not to be too pedantic, but you worded that all wrong. He is exactly the man to manage Rangers. You might have more luck criticizing a particular aspect of his abilities.
  4. I think it's impossible to say how Ally would have managed the second half of the season if this mess hadn't got quite so bad, so we need to give him some slack there. The fact is, it's hard to be tactically astute when you've got a bunch of misfits that might have been forced on you. I'll stick to my previous line of argument that if we can invest a few million each season on getting targets that Ally really wants, then stick with him and give the man his chance. If we can't spend a penny then we need a new manager who has achieved success when working with nothing to spend. If it was at all possible, I'd love to see Ally stay as assistant if the latter had to happen, but I wouldn't blame him for being unwilling to do that. Frankly I'm ecstatic that Ally is the man at the helm right now, because 99% of other managers would be planning an escape route.
  5. He's definitely trying to get in our good books - makes me concerned that he plans to be involved in the future.
  6. Possible Rangers takeover bid from Turkey? Starting with RM.
  7. That's totally BIZARRE! He might be a good hacker but he's a shite designer.
  8. This is a cracking idea seen as there is a good chance it could be a sell out. How about ten glamour friendlies for £20million! Call in all our allies from abroad. The Hamburg game would be a sell out for sure. Ok, so maybe it's not that easy, but worth a shot to test the waters.
  9. When I read the title of the thread, without thinking I immediately said "Fuck off Ellis" in my head. Any money you all did the same!
  10. Would we be as well releasing Lafferty if the lump sum thing is true? He NEVER seems to play and when he does it's hot or cold (about 60% cold). Obviously this only makes sense if we have to shift players and it means others could stay. We need reliable, consistent players so I'd consider it.
  11. Hardly a 'gesture' if you're forced to pay it. Although I appreciate the logic. £2million would be handy!
  12. So they are on different servers? Good stuff.
  13. Listen lads, I'm no expert in any matter of contracts whatsoever. But I can tell you 100%, categorically that any deal he signed would be dependant on being cleared to play. Any other way of doing business would be deranged beyond even Whyte's standards.
  14. I can see it now: some Texan oil billionaire who traces his roots back to Scotland reading the Wall Street Journal. He is so moved by the plight of this great institution that it inspires him to look deeper into his family history. There he discovers that his Scottish-born father was a huge bluenose, and that his grandfather as a young man even played a few games at the club alongside the gallant pioneers. He decided that now in his late fifties it's time to quit the oil fields, sell up and come back to his spiritual home. He ploughs million after million into restoring this great club to it's previous grandeur and upon his death, after decades of unparalleled success, leaves his vast fortune in a bank account with a will that reads "To the fans, I leave this great club." I can't reveal my source
  15. Jesus mate, that's about the worst post I've ever seen on here. I know the filth had nothing to do with our financial troubles, but their attitude recently has been even more stinking than usual.
  16. Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed. Could do with a bit of good news now!
  17. If it turns out to be fact he never put a penny in, I would be utterly fucking raging. That would be worse than even some if his main detractors would have expected. The ticketus deal is vital though. If we can keep our own ticket money for the next three seasons I'll be much much happier and totally confident we can get back on or feet...quickly! If wee craiggy got this one thing right, it will be a massive boost.
  18. Check this out too. GENUINE symptoms of Paranoid Schizophrenia: You sometimes think you have the ability to predict the future. Sometimes you have hallucinations. Your emotional responses are often inappropriate (like laughing when you should be crying). You have lost interest in life. You sometimes skip a shower or brushing your teeth when you really shouldn't. Does this remind you of them on the other side of the city?
  19. That would be some takeover! The tims would still probably get lies printed about him.
  20. The real sad thing is, and it has to be said, Ally would be heart broken if he was asked to do anything other than manage this great club. He would live the rest of his days a different man. I personally think the decision must be based on our financial situation. If we are skint in summer we need a manager who has proven he can work on a shoestring. If we can afford to give Ally the resources to get the targets he declares, then give the man his chance - he more than deserves it.
  21. There's not many on that list that have the money I'd hope for. We want someone willing to drop £40million on half the dutch squad - without bankrupting us this time!
