His finishing has been piss poor for a while.
When he receives the ball close to goal it looks like he can't make up his mind what to do with it.
Also needs a month of intensive heading practice.
In his defence he is often asked to hold up the ball with little support. If your confidence is gone - and I think that's a big part of the problem - playing on your own up front must be fucking hard going. Maybe when Umar is available we'll have Alfie on the bench.

Joking aside, a ad of 18 who was born a Bear like you and I gets subbed on and the opposition marked him with one player, then two. Sharp wee guy with fast feet.
I was watching in the Sandy Sardine front in the second half and had a really good view of his performance. I was shocked at how sharp he was.
The lad is a firework.
Agree completely with this, but I have to say that is the best auto-correct I've seen in a long while.

Done well for the goal, but nobody will mention that
My comment from the match thread:
*****Official Rangers vs Shkupi match thread*****
Goal made by Windass tracking back - never thought I'd see that. Fucking YES
I'm not a fan, but he worked hard against Shkupi.
I don't think his all-round quality is good enough for the standard we aspire to. His game right now consists of pace and erratic goal scoring. If he could sustain a higher work rate, improve his passing and show more commitment in the tackle he'd be much more valuable to the team.
Will SG be able to bring that out of him? Who knows?

Total Network Solutions
That's their old name.
Originally they were Oswestry Town & Llansantffraid Football Club, they then sold the naming rights of the team(!) to a cable and network company (Total Network Solutions) as part of a sponsorship deal. When the deal ran out, they changed their name to The New Saints - presumably because they still had a shitload of kit and stuff with TNS printed on it.
The Welsh Premier is a physical league with more emphasis on graft than skill, but TNS are a cut above the rest.
We should pump them, but then we should have done that last time.
-
I know it's not saying much, but TNS are way above every other team in the Welsh league.
Decent enough for a friendly/training match IMO
-
None of them are exciting as individual names, hopefully a few more quality signings to come. However I think they all have the potential to be better than some of the shit what we had last season.
For me the questions are will they work hard for each other and the team? Will they go into every game expecting to win? Will they have the balls to stand up to the hammer throwers and be willing to stick the boot in when they have to? Will they give 100% every game and will they understand what it means to play for Rangers?
If SG can make them work together, thinking and playing like winners we might have a very good season.

Switch it off then switch it on. That should fix it.
Some days switch it off and leave it off is a better option.

We were shite in the 80s - my late teens and early twenties so I recall it well enough.
But shite as we were, we didn't play with fear or look like we knew we'd be getting pumped before the game had even started. You always knew we had a chance against them and we would raise our game for the big matches.
The 2017-2018 squad lacked heart and balls. They often looked clueless and beaten as soon as we went a goal down, even at Ibrox FFS.

100% win record in competitive games as England manager (and subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing).
The stats speak for themselves.

If it's regionalised we're almost certain to get either a Welsh, Irish, Northern Irish, Faroese, Icelandic or Luxembourgish team.
Fingers crossed for a big night of European football at the Connah's Quay Nomads Deeside Stadium here in sunny Wales.

Cheers - I missed the game. Thanks for not showing the 'other' five

I hoped we had found a leader on the field when we signed Alves, but you can't lead a team from the treatment table.

Barrie is not consistent, not commited, not good enough and not coming back.

In fact, it's in Norway, near Trondheim Airport.
"Hell is a village in the Lånke area of the municipality of Stjørdal in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the western part of the municipality, about 3 kilometres south of the town of Stjørdalshalsen."

Yes, there is a lot of over-rated dross in our squad. But a decent manager with half a brain could have taken this shower and moulded them into a team that would be consistently the second best in Scotland.
We cannot compete with them because we have no belief and no backbone and in the recent OF games we have defended (from the midfield back) like a bunch of fucking jessies.

Still think there's a place for Pena at Ibrox:
Bring him back, get his fitness levels up and make him an understudy for the new Broxi Bear.

Now or in the final, we were always goin to have to beat them to win the cup.

Years with just the sheep to worry about - they've forgotten what a real title race is.
Got to hope their fixtures keep piling up...

Just meant it would show we've come a long way from the dark days of signing Ian Black on a free...

Be great to reach the group stages.
We'll need a bit of luck in the draw and better performances from midfield forward if we're going to get there.
