  1. We are miles behind them on the field, in recruitment, in business acumen and in pr. They have recruited quick skilful goal scoring forwards, clever energetic midfielders. We have concentrated on project signings, players with great experience of losing and relegation, lower end dross, and the perpetually injured. Not a very good business model and one which will continue being a problem every transfer window with our ageing players, the dross that no one will pay money for, the contract situations which ensures that we get nothing for any decent players and means we have to continue to pay the mediocre and the injury prone until their contracts end. From the 55 season onwards the policy of the board has been an insult to the support and has helped the other mob more than they could ever have hoped.
  2. Regardless of the right and wrongs of the decisions, what is wrong is that 2 out of 8 ties have VAR. For the famous sporting integrity it should really be all or none and allowing clubs to decide whether to have it in cup games or not is rediculous as is the fact that clubs gave to foot the bill.
  3. Regardless of the stupidity of signing a player with his record of injury lay offs it is a terrible signing of a player who seems only to be able to compete in a back 3, where he has others to cover for him, when we don’t ,t play that system and would never need to play that domestically anyway.
  4. We need to learn to kill teams off; with our dominant possession we should be scoring far more but lack of quick passing and movement gives packed defences too much time to smother our forwards near goal. Our inability to keep playing at a decent tempo when in the lead is shown time and time again especially on the occasions when we face ten men and we end up being the team in danger of losing goals. It was ridiculous how often Ross County were able to put our defence under pressure with crosses. The players must see how the Man Cities , Barcelona, etc kill games by keeping possession 30 yards from the opponents goal by passing in triangles rather than our usual sideways and backwards attempts deep in our half ending with the inevitable pass back to the keeper which ensures possession is lost. The stupid fouls which set up free kicks into our box is another problem needed to be sorted.
  5. I do not agree about his confidence; his decision making has always been his problem. He got away with some awful decisions in the few games he played 2 seasons ago, did not cover himself with glory last season and from the first game of the season where he was to be our number one keeper his rashness, poor positioning, terrible decision making was shown up for all to see. Even when he has the ball at his feet his over confidence scares me.
  6. Absolutely! Watched Sportscene highlights last night and felt like a true clairvoyant when that biased clown was asked about the decisions. Loved his explanation that if you put your left foot forward your arm automatically goes to head height.
  7. How are we playing against ten men? Have we slowed the pace down as usual to even things up?
  8. Thought they might have raised their game since they were playing against a team in blue.
  9. I do not think confidence is the issue. His decision making has always been bomb scare scenario since he has been with us. He got off with a few in the first couple of seasons when he played the odd game against poor opposition, who failed to take the chances he provided to them, but the first game of this season clearly showed his positional and decision making problem and last night exemplified this.. I agree that McCrorie must be given a chance as soon as possible because we do need not only a number one keeper but also a reliable deputy.
  10. Not at all in agreement as I have never rated Souttar and always was delighted if he was playing against us. Even when he was protected by 2 other CBS I thought he was a weak link and I fear Yilmaz with his lack of height will be targeted as much as Barasic by the high ball brigade.
  11. Time and time again this squad have shown that we are hopeless playing against 10 men. They slow the game down which levels the playing field, try to keep possession in our half and fail, give away free kicks because they cannot raise the pace again. I do not understand the mentality, surely the aim is to absolutely score as many as possible and see the game out that way?
  12. Prefer it that we go for goals instead of strolling about in our half.
  13. That is why goalies should not come out and try to get through a crowd of players. McLaughlin has always been a poor decision maker and why he should not be a first choice keeper.
  14. Which 5 should be replaced at half time? Think I would keep the back 5 and Sakala for entertainment.
  15. He will not be moved on, Ross Wilson needs someone to look down on.
  16. Wright was not good enough for a dreadful Aberdeen team who had given up the hope that his early potential would ever come to fruition.A nonsensical signing much like Souttar and Sands and the project that is Matondo.
  17. There are a lot of players that should be shown the door before Tavenier; of those on the field today Wright who is as much use as an ashtray on a motor bike, Sands who is useless in any position, Jack who set up their second goal, Moreles who obviously needs a personal trainer or a lobotomy, Tillman who does not seem to have the stomach for a battle and the rest of the dead wood who are almost always injured.
  18. Sport scene pundits saw it vert differently, praised his forward movement on and off the ball, his ability to make space and his eagerness to go deep to get the ball and make forward passes from there. I only saw the highlights so cannot comment on which analysis is right.
  19. He should not play for us again, legs like a 27 year old pulling an oil tanker even coming on as a sub. He should have gone last season and saved our memory of him as what he was.
