  1. McCulloch was as usual absolute shite, he ran around contributing nothing. Edu struggled all game although took his goal well. Naismith may as well have been sitting in the stands as someone said earlier. Davis was the only one putting in an effort but with little or no support. With no midfield Miller and Boyd were left stranded and struggled for a decent ball, Millers pass for Edu's goal was beautiful but was the best thing he did all game. Whittaker was terrible in defence and was continually out of position when they were playing wide left, left Weir exposed time and time again. MacGregor Wilson and Weir are the only ones who can hold their heads up after this game. I understand they may be tired, but they will need to be on their game against Aberdeen midweek and for chrissakes Walter can you put people in their preffered positions on the field.
  2. Davis should be automatic pick for CM at the moment Thompson with him Beasley wide right and Novo left. For lafferty and McCulloch to get picked every week and play shite they must have photies of someone in compromising positions imo.
  3. You're dead right there. I know Australia is a long way from Glasgow but surely ex players like Charlie Miller, Ian Ferguson, Craig Moore, Tony Vidmar would send in reports on players if asked. For instance Tommy Oar genuine left sided midfielder with tons of pace and good skill, sounds like something that could be useful at Ibrox next year.
  4. Glasgow Herald Published on 1 Apr 2010 KRIS BOYD is set to leave Rangers for Birmingham City this summer after the Barclays Premier League club reportedly offered the striker a contract worth £1m a year. Boyd’s deal at Ibrox expires at the end of the season and he has spent the best part of the last two months mulling over a possible extension. The 26-year-old has regularly made noises about prolonging his stay at Rangers but it seems his head has been turned by Birmingham’s offer and will move to St Andrews where he will be reunited with Alex McLeish, the man who signed him for Rangers from Kilmarnock, and Barry Ferguson, his former Ibrox team-mate. Rangers are now faced with the prospect of losing one of their key players for nothing just a year after Birmingham bid £3.5m to sign Boyd but were rebuffed by the player. “A contract offer was made to Kris quite some time ago and he hasn’t come back to anyone at the club to say he wishes to sign the contract he was offered, or even ask for more money,” said an Ibrox insider. “At the time, he was informed the offer made was as much as Rangers could stretch to. But obviously that will still fall short of the other offers from English clubs because of the financial resources down there.” Boyd is one of six Rangers players out of contract. Steven Smith and Nacho Novo are also expected to leave in the summer, while uncertainty surrounds the futures of David Weir, DaMarcus Beasley and Kirk Broadfoot. Rangers are also expected to consider any reasonable offers for Kyle Lafferty. How true is this???

  6. This.... Lots of smug fans on here saying that the result means nothing and its just a blip... I believe we will still win the league, I am not a panic merchant, and I am not over reacting to only our second league defeat of the season... I am majorly pissed off that we have conceded 4 goals to a side that probably cost less to assemble than Kyle Lafferty cost us. A side that have not scored 4 goals against us in their history and who rightly consider any kind of victory over us as a once in a blue moon achievement.... I am not calling for Walters head, I am not say sell our under performing players and I am not saying that we are going to throw the title away.... I am only saying that there are no circumstances in which Rangers losing 4-1 to St Johnstone is an acceptable result.. NONE... and that leaves me very disappointed in the team and management Good post agree 100%
  7. Rangers Media easily the best. So many different threads and opinions.
  8. Now you're talking. Why change a winning team? I understand players get tired and injured, but when everyone is available why would you not go back to your best combination. I have not seen the game as yet, but from what has been said on here and on the RFC site the performance of the whole team was unacceptable. Hopefully the weekend will be better.
  9. Seriously guys after reading through all the replies (shite slinging) at each other and umpteen other posts on this subject i.e. who is going to buy/finance RFC I am getting totally fed up with all the speculation. Can't wait until its done and dusted King, Ellis, McColl, the Florida connection or whoever will eventually come out of the closet and put up the money. Then we will know for sure. As for a fan based ownership it could work with enough worldwide support but investors/fans would have to see the complete proposal as to how it was going to work before commiting hard earned cash. Its one thing to pay off the debt and buy out Murray but an ongoing budget to take the club forward is another story. Lots more facts are needed and as some have said someone with enough financial clout to act as a safety net and attract other investors and sponsors willing to commit money to an SPL team. Not an easy sell.
  10. Ditto. Setanta still show the SPL games live and replay them a couple of times during the week. WATP.
  11. Starts at the back, best defence regardless of who is in the four, Davie Weir legend. Reasonable midfield, fantastic front pairing in Kris and Kenny, and we are a team who never gives in. WATP.
  12. Born and bred Torrance near Glasgow. But now in Australia little town called Medowie 2hrs north of Sydney.
  13. I'm not sure how you can say he is a "useless coach",only the players can tell you how good he is. Agree with most of the other stuff though. has he improved any of our attacking players? doesnt look like it to me, maybe boyd, but lets be honest, the attributes he has improved could only get better, they couldnt get any worse, everyone except boyd knew what was wrong with his game, his granny could have told him to get his finger out more. is he happy with young fleck being embarrassed in left midfield? has he said anything to change it, doesnt look like it is he happy with how Walters team plays week in week out? if he is, then hes not the man i thought he was, if hes not then why is he not doing something to change it. if he is? what? what is he bringing to our huge table? he was given games and time in the cups and we get more of the same dross as Walter serves up. i just dont see anything in him. his interviews recently have also been totally bizarre, hes talking some pish. i hope hes not our future. nice guy though, but his current job has totally changed my opinion of him. i thought he was better than that. most players, especially good players are not cut out to manage, Ally shows me nothing that makes me say, yeah he would excite me as the new boss, he fills me with fear, even worse than how i feel when one of Walters teams takes to the pitch in a European game. More of the dross Walter serves up??? you are fuckin joking mate. So we lost a cup game so what. We will still win the SPL thats where the money is. Negative whinging bastards fucking nothing is ever good enough.
  14. It really concerns me that all Ellis seems to be worried about is how much he can make outside Ibrox. As has been said in previous posts do we really want this guy to buy our club. My fear is he will make his money from the sale of the land around Ibrox and possibly the sale of Murray Park then leave us in a worse state than we are in now.
  15. Agreed. I was running around my lounge room at 4.00am waving my scarf like a loony when Walter lifted the cup. He is a legend.
  16. Thats the way it should be. It was a hard game and with all the aggro that went down on the pitch the players can still shake hands after the final whistle. So why can't the fans?
  17. I've said it before and I'll say it again he is a diddy. He has only got one foot, his passing is rubbish. He has been tried up front and on both wings and is rubbish every time. As was said previously how he gets a start in front of Novo has got me fucked.
  18. The op has to be a fishing expidition. Especially after sundays game. Walter Smith is a Rangers legend, what he has achieved this year with all the restraints he has had to put up with. There is not any other manager of note who would have put up with this.
  19. Doesn't matter a wins a win. Three points thats all that matters.
  20. At home, Port Stephens NSW Australia. On Setanta. We will win WATP
  21. Slim Jim Baxter, John Greig, Brian Laudrup, Paul Gascoigne,Rino Gattuso,Ronald DeBoer,Stephan Klos,Willie Henderson,Graeme Souness Davie Cooper,Gio Van Bronkhorst and probably heaps more I can't remember.
  22. I would play for Rangers for nothing. Would be an honour to wear the shirt. But would never no matter how much they offered play for them.
